The 2025 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo season, and its Western-chic fashion scene, will take over the city beginning January 17. Just in time for wardrobe planning, a fashion-forward pop-up featuring hats by acclaimed designer Teressa Fogliais debuting in the Fort Worth Stockyards.

The master milliner will bring a shoppable collection of 20 hat designs to the John Wayne Stock & Supply store inside the John Wayne: An American Experience museum, January 10-February 3. (The FWSSR runs January 17-February 8.)

Called "Hats + Art," the pop-up is part shopping event, part art exhibit that will also feature art inspired by the American West by Foglia’s partner, multimedia artist Ty Hays. Ten percent of proceeds from pop-up sales will benefit the John Wayne Cancer Foundation.

The couple will visit the store in person on Friday, January 10 and Saturday, January 11 for a weekend of hat customizations and complimentary tastings of Wayne Family Estate wines.

“When it came to this pop-up at the John Wayne store, it felt like such a natural fit, especially with my husband's fine art that really shows a modern take on Western art,” says Foglia. “I’ve always been inspired by Western style, and John Wayne is the epitome of timeless Americana. His legacy embodies strength, resilience, and authenticity — qualities I strive to reflect in my hat designs.”

Known as the “It Girl” milliner, Foglia has created custom hats for celebrity clients like Keri Russell, John Mayer, and Cindy Crawford. She sources materials, trim, and adornments from markets in Paris, Sardinia, Ibiza, Tokyo, and Bali. Each hat is lined with a one-of-a-kind vintage silk, making every design unique.

According to her website, hats in her various collections run from $425 to $2,500. Custom straw hats start at $750, custom felt hats start at $1,750.

Foglia’s passion for hat-making, she says, ignited after she took a course on the topic in Europe, inspiring a career dedicated to the craft. Her first hat studio and shop opened in New York City in 2017, and other locations soon followed, in Malibu, Laguna Beach, and Houston.

"Whether you’re channeling a western icon or creating your own legacy, a well-styled hat is always a statement piece," she says.

John Wayne’s youngest son, Ethan Wayne, who is heavily involved in the museum dedicated to his father’s life, says he’s proud to welcome both artists to North Texas.

“Teressa and Ty are truly among the top creators in their respective genres and they have been friends of the John Wayne family for some time,” Wayne says in a statement.

While a visit to the Hats + Art pop-up at the John Wayne Stock & Supply store is free, access to John Wayne: An American Experience museum requires an entry fee. Tickets are $22.95 for adults, $20.95 for seniors 65-plus, students with college ID and military with ID, and $17.95 for kids 6-12.
