Where to Shop
Where to shop in Fort Worth right now: 5 hot shops for July

Jewelry from Painted Tree Boutique
Shopping in Fort Worth is the right thing to do in summer 2025, and not just because stores have AC. This edition of Where to Shop features a fun assortment of vendors and goods including Japanese-inspired toys plus two small-shop marketplaces with plenty of summer finds at bargain prices.
Here's where to shop in Fort Worth for July:
Gashapon Bandai Shop
Plastic capsule toy store, which started in Little Tokyo in Los Angeles, opened at North East Mall in Hurst in June. The toys come from vending machines, inspired by the gashapon machines in Japan found in stores and train stations that require putting in tokens and turning a handle to get the toy. The capsules are full of surprises ranging from anime or manga characters, charms, little statues, or jewelry. Who knows what you'll get? Most machines need 2 to 4 tokens, which cost $2 to $2.50 each.
Market 76082
A shared marketplace in Springtown relocated from North Ash Street and opened in a new location at 100 W. 2nd St. They provide the opportunity for local small businesses to come together under one roof and sell unique clothes and gifts including clothes, art prints, and candles. Featured brands include Cassidy's Creations, Krafted Chaos, The Soap Shop, and Good Bones Fort Worth. You'll find some serious bargains here.
Painted Tree Boutique
Boutique superstore houses multiple shops and small vendors in one spot. They carry gifts, clothes, home decor, and more. They're described as an Etsy marketplace in real life, ideal for entrepreneurs who've always wanted their own shop. They've been growing across DFW with two locations that opened recently — Grapevine at 1217 W. SH-114, and Lewisville, at 420 E. Round Grove Rd. — joining four other locations in Frisco, Mansfield, Highland Village, and North Richland Hills.
Recluse Books
Independently-owned bookstore opened in the Near Southside in June. The shop comes from Josie Smith-Webster and James Webster, who are all about selling books and creating a community. Their book selection is eclectic and personal, including fiction, nonfiction, children’s books, and small-press titles, as well as a small selection of used books, mostly from their personal collection. They also host engaging events such as book clubs and open mic nights.
Will Leather Goods
Leather bag and accessory store recently opened a full storefront at the Stockyards— after operating as a pop-up since November — at 128 E. Exchange Ave. #550. Their collection features backpacks, totes, duffle bags, wallets, and belts — all leather. They also carry gifts such as journals, stainless steel flasks, and golf accessories.
