Home & Garden Show to clean up Fort Worth with buzzy Laundry Guy
The 3rd annual Fort Worth Home & Garden Show returns to Fort Worth with everything you need for your home and garden projects, plus special guest: The Laundry Guy.
The show, which will take over the Will Rogers Memorial Center - West Texas Hall February 16-18, features the latest kitchen, bath, and flooring gear, plus face-time with industry professionals, and other offerings.
But surely the peak will be the meet-and-greet with "The Laundry Guy" Patrick Richardson, host of The Laundry Guy TV show on Discovery+ and HGTV, author of Laundry Love: Finding Joy in a Common Chore, and a new book called House Love: A Joyful Guide to Cleaning, Organizing and Loving the Home You're In.
He's lately become a media darling and the go-to guy for advice on how much detergent you should use and the best way to get rid of stains.
Richardson has been shaking up the laundry world, debunking generations-old laundry rules such as long wash cycles (not effective!) and the fallacy of separating lights from darks. Other radical tips he might share include ignoring "dry cleaning only" instructions, avoiding pods, and air-drying your clothes instead of drying them in a machine.
The show offers the opportunity to sample new home technology, save money with show-only discounts, and participate in activities for the whole family.
Let's unroll the bulleted list:
- master gardeners seminars
- cooking demonstrations
- pet adoption & rescue opportunities
- plant and tree sales
- Lowes Bucket Giveaway
- meet local artisans
They'll also have items not found in stores, custom builders and remodelers, landscape design, and home accessories.
Admission to the show is free all weekend long courtesy of Texas Hot Tub Company. Parking passes are $12 and can be bought from the parking attendants. Passes work on any of the lots.
The event is by Show Technology, whose Home and Garden Shows and Christmas events regularly cross the country to stop in convention halls such as this.
Hours are as follows:
- Friday, February 16, from 2-6 pm
