Mixed Use News
Mixed-use project with residences and shops is coming to Keller

A new mixed-use project has broken ground in Keller, that will bring residential units and the requisite accompanying collection of restaurants and shops.
Called Keller Center Stage, it's a 38-acre project from Realty Capital Management and Greystar, a multi-family development company based in Charleston, S.C., located at the intersection of Highway 377 and Mount Gilead Road.
According to a release, the first phase of construction includes 24,000 square feet of commercial space; Greystar's multi-family community, called The Lyric at Keller Center Stage; and a community lawn that will provide a venue for live music events.
The Lyric at Keller Center Stage broke ground in May 2021 and will connect to a hike and bike trail system, water feature, resort-style pool, outdoor barbecue areas, and a gym.
The community lawn and the commercial buildings are expected to be complete in the third quarter of 2022.
When fully built-out, Keller Center Stage will consist of
- nearly 60,000 square feet of shops, offices, and restaurant space
- a single-family neighborhood with 57 patio homes ranging from 2,200 to 2,800 square feet
- 475 multi-family residences
Sounds like a lot, but AJ Glass, Development Partner with Realty Capital, promises that more is on the way.
"The mixture of restaurants, shops, and offices that surround a programmed amenity space open to the public is what will really activate Keller Center Stage and create a place for the community of Keller to enjoy and gather," Glass says in a statement. "We are in conversations with restauranteurs, a coffee shop, a spa/salon owner, and numerous other retail service providers who are all extremely enthusiastic about the project and cannot wait to bring more variety to the City of Keller."
The Lyric at Keller Center Stage is intended to provide a neighborhood mixed-use community for nearby residents to easily come walk, shop, dine, and be entertained,” said
JR Thulin, Senior Director of Development for Greystar, gets to have his say-so, too. "Providing a great quality of life at The Lyric at Keller Center Stage for new and existing Keller residents is our ultimate goal," Thulin says.
The first building at The Lyric at Keller Center Stage will be move-in ready by the fourth quarter of 2022; the entire community is supposed to be done by the third quarter of 2023.
Near the corner of Mount Gilead Road and Highway 377, a 10,000-square- professional office is also in the works, which will have restaurant and retail service businesses as well as overflow parking in the evenings for the restaurants and Center Stage entertainment amenity.
