A Southlake home that's been described as one of the most expensive homes in Texas is back on the market, a year after it sold for what was said to be a record-breaking price.

The 31,234-square-foot mansion at 1469 Sunshine Ln., featuring over-the-top amenities including a full-size basketball court, bowling alley, and in-house recording studio, was listed for sale on August 5 — a little more than a year after it last sold in June 2023 to a record producer and his wife.

Built in 2016, the home sits on a gated 3.62-acre spread, with 8 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms — comprised of 8 full bathrooms and 3 half-baths — and is listed by Michael Hershenberg of the Hershenberg Group for an unprecedented $27,500,000, or $880 per square foot.

The property is now being presented as "America's best sounding home" — one that would be "any producer's dream home," thanks to a major infusion of high-tech sound gear that includes:

Dreamy $6M cliffside estate in Texas Hill Country goes up for auction

A sprawling, 13-acre waterfront estate about two hours south of Dallas is hitting the auction block. Bidding on the Oxbow Overlook estate, just outside the Central Texas town of Belton, is scheduled to start February 13 on the Sotheby’s Concierge Auctions website.

The sale process will conclude February 28 when the estate is featured at ModaMiami, a luxury event hosted by South Florida’s Biltmore Miami-Coral Gables.

The property, at 8536 Armstrong Rd., is co-listed at $5.95 million by Debbie Stevenson of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty. Bidding will start at $2 million to $2.5 million.
