Treating Mom
Pick up special Mother's Day meals to-go from these Fort Worth restaurants
Coronavirus might have halted plans for big family gatherings, but it hasn't canceled Mother's Day. Mom still deserves to be treated like a queen on her special day, which falls on Sunday, May 10.
While some Fort Worth-area restaurants are opening back up at 25 percent occupancy, many are keeping their doors closed, continuing curbside meal pickup operations only. And some are choosing to do both.
That means (just like on Easter this year) special meal packages are available to-go for Mother’s Day. Don’t forget to add on a mimosa kit, bottle of wine, or Mom's favorite beer.
Here are the local restaurants offering something special for Mom in the Fort Worth area. (The list will continue to be updated as more plans are announced.)
Bird Café
The Southern-inspired brunch to-go includes sweet tea brined fried chicken on a buttermilk biscuit, yogurt with berries and granola, cinnamon twist French toast with peach compote, and Texas pimento cheese and smoked bacon omelet with fried potatoes ($55 for four, $75 for six). Add a mimosa, bloody Mary, or Irish coffee kit ($15-$28) and pick up on May 10 from 10 am-3 pm.
