Sundance Square scoops up favorite Fort Worth ice cream shop
A popular Fort Worth ice cream shop is on the move again. Melt Ice Creams will open a location in Sundance Square, at 308 Houston St. — once home to a Paciugo gelato shop — in July.
It's the third location for Melt, which just opened an outpost in Dallas' Bishop Arts district and has a shop on Magnolia Avenue. Its cart in Sundance Square Plaza will remain, according to a release.
“Melt is a great example of a successful locally owned and operated company that is expanding its brand,” says Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square, in a release. “We are thrilled Melt chose Sundance Square for its next location.”
Melt is known for its creative artisanal flavors, with names like Beans, Chocolate Chocolate, Cookie Crack, Saltlick, Cup of TX, and Velvet Vegan.
Founded by Kari Crowe-Seher in 2014, Melt quickly became a popular frozen treat in North Texas. Their eclectic menu changes frequently, with four new flavors introduced every six weeks.
"Our Melt family is excited to give visitors of Sundance Square a taste of the local flavor," Crowe-Seher says in a release. "By joining the Sundance Square family, we get the opportunity to serve national and international travelers who are looking to explore a taste of Texas."
