Christmas in July Paint-A-Glass & Sip at Lost Oak Winery
Channel holiday vibes in the heat of the summer with this Christmas-themed wine glass-painting class at Burleson’s Lost Oak Winery. Participants will paint a wintry scene while sipping wine. The $45 class includes hors d’oeuvres and a complimentary glass of wine. Class will run from 5-7:30 pm.

The Generous Pour at The Capital Grille
Now through September 5, guests are invited to partake in a special at The Capital Grille that allows for unlimited sips from a collection of wines from Antinori family estates. For $32 per person, plus the purchase of dinner, guests can try up to six labels of red, white, and rosé of the Antinori brand — a generous pour, indeed. Servers will provide tasting notes and pairing recommendations for each pour. Reservations encouraged.

Bisous Bisous Patisserie & Melt Ice Creams Collaboration
Ahead of National Ice Cream Day on Saturday, chef Andrea Meyer of Dallas-based Bisous Bisous Patisserie will make an appearance at Melt Ice Creams on Magnolia Avenue to serve up her croissant waffle ice cream sammies ($6.50). The gourmet sandwiches will feature Meyer’s warm, made-to-order croissant waffles with choice of Melt ice cream, all tossed in flavored sugars, nut crunch, and house-made sauces. The sammies will be available starting at 4 pm until sell-out.

Let’s Learn Whiskey Tasting at Off the Vine & Cellar
Sip on six different whiskeys at this Grapevine wine room and cellar, and learn what makes each unique. Varieties covered will include Irish, scotch, single malt scotch, American, bourbon, rye, and a bonus whiskey that will keep participants guessing. The educational tasting, which will run from 7-8:30 pm, is $49 per person and includes light snacks.

Champagne Flight Night at WineHaus
The term “champagne” is frequently tossed around as referring to any sparkling wine. Fact is, true champagne only comes from the Champagne region of France. Try nothing but the good stuff at WineHaus with a Champagne flight. The tasting include three pours for $25 and will be available from 6-8 pm.

Fab 5 Tasting at 3 Vino
The name says it all — taste five all-time fan favorites at the Roanoke wine bar. The $25 price includes the wines and a cheeseboard. The tasting will run from 6-8 pm and reservations are not required.

Portillo’s Beef Bus Tour at AT&T Stadium
Ahead of its fall opening in the Grandscape development in The Colony, Portillo’s Restaurant is sending Texas a tasty preview via its traveling food truck. Called the Beef Bus, the Chicago-based hot dog chain’s restaurant on wheels will make several appearances in North Texas, including at the Summer Truckin Nationals at AT&T Stadium, July 15-17. Folks are sure to line up early, as there’s even a Facebook group dedicated to bringing the cult-favorite eatery to DFW. The menu will include its famous Chicago-style hot dog served with mustard, relish, celery salt, chopped onions, tomatoes, kosher pickles, and sport peppers on a steamed poppyseed bun. Also on the menu will be Italian beef sandwiches and Polish sausages. The Beef Bus will be at the stadium from 9 am-11 pm Friday and Saturday, and 10 am-4 pm Sunday.

6-Pack Trail Ride
This six-stop bike ride doubles as a brewery tour of Fort Worth. Stops include Cowtown Brewing, Martin House Brewing Company, Wild Acre Brewing Company, HopFusion Ale Works, and Rahr & Sons Brewing Company. Start and finish at Flying Saucer downtown, where the ride will culminate with a meal and brew by Troy Aikman’s brand EIGHT Elite. The $65 per-person price includes the 8-to-10-mile ride, a draft beer at each stop, post-ride grub at Flying Saucer, and other goodies. Check in at 10 am before a 10:30 am departure and expect to be done around 3:30 pm. BYO bike.

Glizzy Fest at Martin House Brewing Company
After receiving national attention for the recent release of “Bun Length,” Martin House Brewing Company’s hot dog-flavored seltzer, the river-front brewery is throwing a hot dog-themed festival. There’ll be hot dog and sausage food trucks (including Fletcher’s Original Corny Dogs), hot dog eating contest, John Cougar Mellencamp cover band, wiener dogs and a puppy pool, and the launch of a special new seltzer. Folks can also get a taste of Bun Length on tap, along with about 25 other beers. Wristbands will sell for $15 and will be good for a souvenir pint glass and four pours. The party will run from 12-5 pm.
