Bushi Bushi is ready to deliver dumplings and Chinese food to Fort Worth

A new restaurant specializing in dumplings has made its Fort Worth debut: Bushi Bushi Market, known for its freshly made dumplings and authentic Chinese cuisine, is open for grab-and-go in the Near Southside neighborhood at 814 W. Rosedale St., ready for call-in/pickup orders and delivery from Uber Eats and DoorDash.

Bushi Bushi Market is from chef Patrick Ru, a dumpling master who originally opened the concept in New York (and earned a nod as one of the city's Top 10 Best Dumpling Restaurants).

He expanded with two restaurants in Dallas and is now bringing his legendary dumplings to Fort Worth. Menu items include:

Combination Dumplings

They also have a selection of fine wine, sake, or beer available for takeout.

They're open Monday-Thursday 11 am-10 pm, Friday-Saturday 11 am-11 pm, and Sunday, 11 am-9 pm.

Ru was originally partnered with chef Stefon Rishel, but Rishel is no longer part of the Bushi Bushi team which includes Jeffrey Yarbrough, CEO of Big Ink Commercial Real Estate, owner of multiple restaurants, and author of two books, The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Asian Cooking and Prohibition in Dallas & Fort Worth.

A spooky pop-up arrives at Nickel City this week.

A creepy cocktail pop-up arrives in Cowtown this week, bringing with it an immersive atmosphere of scary props and a brand new lineup of themed concoctions. Other not-so-spooky events include a sparkling wine tasting, a popular outdoor clam bake, and a taco and margarita festival that always draw crowds.

Exclusive Wine Tasting at Emilia’s
The Crescent Hotel’s Mediterranean-inspired eatery will host a wine pairing event featuring four wines from France and Italy paired with charcuterie boards created by chef Preston Paine. Tickets are $90 plus tax, and the pairing begins at 6 pm.

Budha Girl Bubbles & Bites at Fitzgerald
Fitzgerald’s monthly wine tasting will feature the red hot Budha Girl sparkling wines, distilled in California in the champagne method. The $35 ticket, plus tax and gratuity, includes four tasting pours paired with light bites. The tasting will run from 6:30–8:30 pm.

Clam Bake at Grace
Grace's popular patio party happens this week and is sure to sell out. Snag seats early for this annual event, which features a traditional outdoor clam bake along with passed canapes and paired wines. Dinner is $185, plus tax and gratuity, and begins with a reception at 6:30 pm.

October Wine Dinner at Caterina's
The Stockyards fine dining Italian destination has a few seats left for its monthly wine dinner. This month’s menu includes beef carpaccio, frutti de mare, rabbit ravioli, roasted ora king salmon, and crostata di frutta. All courses are paired with Italian wines. Dinner is $165 per person, plus and gratuity, and begins at 6:30 pm.

Friday, October 11

Black Lagoon at Nickel City
The horrifying Halloween pop-up, which originated in New Orleans, is back at Nickel City this year bringing an array of brand new creepy concoctions along with an eerie atmosphere. Among the 10 new cocktails are Siren’s Song made with aged rum, Lot 40 rye whiskey, and Giffard Caribbean pineapple, and the Nightmare Fuel made with tequila, matcha, lime, and absinthe. The pop-up will run through October 31.

Saturday, October 12

Tacos & Margarita Festival
To be held at Panther Island Pavilion along the Trinity River, this food and drink sampling event features not only tacos, but elote, paletas, and all margaritas made with Casamigos tequila. Tickets start at $26 for three drink tickets and two food tickets. The event will run from 12–6 pm, with a post event concert set for 7 pm that requires a separate ticket.
