A hot Dallas restaurant has spun off a little sister for Fort Worth, and she's ready to debut: Cafe Mirador is opening its doors at 3220 West 7th S., in the Cultural District.
According to a release, it will open Saturday, March 21.
Cafe Mirador is the first venture into Fort Worth for Dallas-based Headington Companies, developers behind the acclaimed Joule Hotel.
Cafe Mirador is being called a "little sister concept" to Headington Co.'s restaurant Mirador in downtown Dallas. Like its bigger, older sibling in Dallas, Cafe Mirador will operate alongside a luxury boutique called Forty Five Ten - also debuting in Fort Worth on March 21.
“Fort Worth’s growth and creative momentum make this the perfect moment to bring Forty Five Ten and Café Mirador west,” says Jeny Bania, chief marketing officer of Headington Companies, in the release. “It’s a community that shares our passion for thoughtful design, art, and elevated hospitality. This expansion allows us to bring something familiar, yet entirely new, to a market that’s come into its own. The Cultural District is flourishing, and this opening marks an exciting next chapter for the brand — one we’re truly looking forward to sharing with the Fort Worth community.”
Here's a closer look at both concepts:
Cafe Mirador
Cafe Mirador spans 1,000 square feet with 33 seats (28 dining and five at the bar), the company says: "Designed for lingering weekday lunches, impromptu margarita meet-ups, and champagne-fueled weekend brunches, the café embodies a relaxed, fashion-forward sensibility that is approachable yet elevated, offering the ease of an unplanned bite or a celebratory gathering before or after shopping."
The kitchen is helmed by Headington Companies’ vice president of restaurants Coner Seargeant, and will offer Mirador favorites alongside new brunch selections and pastries from Commissary, Headington’s bakery-café on Dallas’ Main Street, they say.

Menu highlights include Ahi Tuna Cornettes ($22), a Lobster Roll ($27), Farro Bowl ($17), and Crispy Chicken Bites ($15), and brunch dishes such as a Chia Bowl ($17), Breakfast Sandwich ($15), and Eggs Benedict ($22).
For beverages, Café Mirador will feature champagne, an edited wine list, and a selection of cocktails, including "the famous Mirador Margarita," though they do not say why it's famous. Guess Fort Worth will find out.
“The emphasis on seasonality, originality, and modern American cuisine that has made Mirador successful remains at the heart of everything we do,” says Seargeant. “For this new expression, we’re thinking a little lighter — champagne, tasting bites, elevated lunches. We want a relaxed space where friends gather for a good time before or after shopping. And of course, there will be caviar.”
Design features include burl wood banquettes, Woka silk sconces, white oak floors, Thonet-inspired dining chairs upholstered in Dedar fabric, accessories from Australian designer Greg Natale, art curated by Dallas-based John Runyon of Runyon Fine Arts, with pieces from the personal collection of Tim Headington. (Fort Worth patrons might wish the artwork were coming from Fort Worth galleries and will likely voice their opinions about this - be prepared, Headington.)
The cafe will be open during daytime hours only: 11 am-3 pm Wednesday-Friday and 10:30 am-3 pm Saturday-Sunday. Reservations are available through Resy.
Forty Five Ten
The longtime downtown Dallas store is celebrated for its "architectural interiors, museum-caliber art, and forward-thinking mix of international and emerging designers," says the release. "Its expansion to Fort Worth carries this legacy westward in a striking 4,000-square-foot boutique conceived by Ibáñez Shaw Architects with interiors by SWOON, the studio."
The Fort Worth boutique will carry Women’s Ready-to-Wear, Fine Jewelry, Accessories, and Home, including several designers hand-picked for Fort Worth and appearing in Fort Worth for the first time, the company says. Featured designers include Bode, Dries Van Noten, Khaite, Comme des Garçons, Brandon Maxwell, The Elder Statesman, Jil Sander, Marni, and more. Personal styling services are available.

“Fort Worth is experiencing an incredible moment of growth, and we’re honored to be part of its evolution,” says Anne Wallach, President of Forty Five Ten, in the release. “Expanding here allows us to share Forty Five Ten’s distinct perspective on luxury fashion — one that celebrates artistry, individuality, and the connection that comes from personal style.”
The boutique will be open 11 am-5 pm Wednesday through Friday and 10:30 am-5 pm Saturday-Sunday.
"Together, Forty Five Ten and Café Mirador Fort Worth set the stage for a new cultural landmark, introducing a fresh standard of luxury and lifestyle to the city’s evolving landscape," says the release.
