Sharpen your knife skills during this hands-on class that promises to forever change the way you slice and dice. The $70 price includes a seasonal meal the instructors will prepare with the fruits and vegetables of the class' knife work, along with a glass of wine. Class begins at 6:30 pm.

Simple Sushi Making at Grape Vine Springs Winery
Start the New Year with new sushi-making skills. The downtown Grapevine wine bar will host this hands-on class in which participants will learn to make a California roll, spicy tuna roll, and their choice of a smoked salmon or prawn roll. The class is $55 and begins at 6 pm.

Eating Up Route 66: Foodways on America’s Mother Road
The Center for Texas Studies at TCU, in partnership with the Fort Worth Public Library, will host a presentation on the eclectic food options once found along Route 66, called “America’s Mother Road.” The route carried travelers from Chicago to Los Angeles through its midway point in Texas, providing a plethora of roadside eateries. The talk will be led by writer and history scholar T. Lindsay Baker and will run from 10:30 am-12 pm at the Southwest Regional Library branch.
Pound & Pour at Atheneum Cider
Work on your New Year’s resolutions with this Saturday morning sweat session at Saginaw’s Atheneum Cider. The cardio class uses drums for a rock-inspired jam set. The $20 price includes a post-class cider. Class begins at 11 am.
Cousins Maine Lobster at Panther Island Brewing
The lobster-focused food truck will visit the downtown brewery to serve its popular lobster rolls, lobster grilled cheese, lobster tacos, and more. Wait in line or simply order on Cousins app and select your designated time. The truck will be on-site from 12-8 pm.
