Summer is just heating up, but one local brewery has the holidays in mind hosting a "half Christmas" party this week. Also on the list: a celeb chef dinner for a good cause, a brisket-smoking class, and a mimosa bar crawl paired with brunch bites along the way.

Celebrity Chef Dinner at Taste Project with Juan Rodriguez
The Magdalena’s chef will visit the South Fort Worth community restaurant for a fundraising dinner benefiting Taste Project’s mission of providing pay-what-you-can meals for all. Tickets start at $300 for a table of four (tables of two are already sold out) and include a multi-course dinner. Guests may BYOB.

Brisket U at Rahr & Sons Brewing Company
Learn how to work a barbecue pit and smoke a brisket during this barbecue lesson at Rahr & Sons Brewing Company. Participants will get schooled on pit types, brisket cuts, trim techniques, rubs and prep, wood selection and smoke profiles, managing a fire and pit chamber, timing, and properly slicing the end product. Class is $139 ($129 for additional participants) and will run from 10 am-1 pm.
Fort Worth Mimosa Fest
This Saturday bar crawl will take participants on a tour of West 7th area hot spots for mimosas and brunch bites. Stops include El Chingon, The Local, Bar 2909, and Kung Fu Saloon. Tickets are $54.99 for a VIP kick-off party starting at 11 am with mimosas and brunch cocktail tastings along with brunch bites at each venue. Or pay $24.99 for brunch and cocktail specials at each venue starting at noon. The crawl will run until 5 pm.
Snuffer’s 46th Anniversary
The Dallas-based burger institution (which has a location in Colleyville) will celebrate its 46th anniversary with a throwback special. Get the half-pound classic burger on a poppy seed bun with fries for $7.80. The deal is good at all locations, including the original on Lower Greenville that opened in 1978.
Half Christmas Party at Martin House Brewing Company
The year is halfway over and Martin House ready to get in the Christmas spirit. Visit the Riverside brewery for pictures with Santa, ornament decorating, live music, a white elephant gift exchange, and a new brew drop of Scary Figgy Pudding Imperial Stout. The $20 wristband at the front door is good for a logo pint glass and four pours on the tap wall. Kids are welcome for no entry fee. The event will run from 12-5 pm.
