Pretty new Grapevine tasting room pours wine with a rebellious streak

Nicole Heere has opened Housewife Rebellion winery tasting room in Grapevine.
A new winery tasting room in Grapevine might look prim and proper in pink, but it's got a rebellious streak: Housewife Rebellion has opened at 211 E. Worth St., off Historic Main Street, along Grapevine’s Urban Wine Trail.
The tasting room debuted Thursday, September 17 in an 1880s Victorian house that owner and artist Nicole Heere has painted sparkly pink, inside and out.
She has filled the space with her original oil paintings, pink chandeliers, hand-painted tables, and what a release calls "playful details inspired by the realities of balancing careers, family and the occasional need to pour a glass of wine and shut the door." For example: wine bottles are displayed in a vintage jewelry case, and bathrooms feature custom wallpaper inspired by Frida Kahlo and Georgia O’Keeffe and Art Nouveau vanities with gold swan faucets.
Heere says the idea grew out of her own life as a wife, mother, and working artist - trying to balance it all.
“My biggest rebellion is drinking wine,” Heere says in a release. “I’m a busy wife and mom. That’s just how it is!”
Housewife Rebellion, she says, is designed as a gathering spot for women, with plans for "Moms’ Day Out (of Patience)" events and Real Housewives watch parties. Patrons will have to go elsewhere to watch sports; they won't be shown at Housewife Rebellion.

The wine, of course, will flow - and it's good wine, with grapes sourced from both the Texas Hill Country and the Texas High Plains. Housewife Rebellion’s Pinot Grigio and Rebel Rosé both earned Gold at the 2025 People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic, the largest consumer-judged wine tasting competition in the U.S. (View the entire collection here.)
"The wines feature Heere’s custom artwork on every label and will be in the People’s Choice competition again this year," the release says.
Guests can order charcuterie and wine flights served on custom-made artist’s palettes.
Housewife Rebellion's opening coincides with GrapeFest, which runs September 17-20, for a long weekend of wine tastings, competitions, live entertainment and more.
The tasting room will initially be open 11am-9pm Thursday-Saturday and 11 am-7 pm Sunday; closed Monday-Wednesday. Group gatherings and private events can be booked through the website.
