Hungry Howie's hauls its flavored crust pizzas to Keller, first in DFW
A restaurant known for its flavored crusts is coming to Keller: Hungry Howie’s, originator of the Flavored Crust pizza franchise, will open a location at 1320 North Main St. #100, situated in The Lyric at Keller Center Stage.
According to a release, the store will open on Monday, May 13.
Hungry Howie’s began as a 1,000-square-foot hamburger shop in Taylor, Michigan that has since turned into a carry-out and delivery pizza chain with 535 locations across the country.
Hungry Howie's offers eight flavored crusts: Butter, Asiago Cheese, Cajun, Butter Cheese, Sesame, Garlic Herb, Ranch, and Italian Herb.
The menu aims to satisfy all – with dough made fresh daily in-house, offering original round, deep dish, thin crust, and gluten-free options.
They also serve calzone-style oven-baked subs, salads, flatbreads, wings, and an item called Howie Bread, which is basically bread sticks made from the pizza dough, served with pizza sauce, in options such as 3 Cheeser, Asiago, Cajun, or Cinnamon.
This marks the chain's debut in Dallas-Fort Worth; in Texas, it currently has eight other locations in San Antonio, College Station, Laredo, Katy, and Houston.
"As the brand’s’ first location in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, it is my honor to introduce Hungry Howie’s fresh-made dough and Flavored Crust pizzas to this community,” says Ethan Hofer, General Manager, Hungry Howie’s franchisee of Sabres NTX Inc.
They're offering a series of deals during their first week that include:
- Monday, May 13: First 50 orders receive a coupon for 50 free pizzas with the purchase of a pizza
- Tuesday, May 14: 10 percent of proceeds donated to Keller High School Girls Basketball
- Wednesday, May 15: 10 percent of proceeds donated to Woodland Springs
- Thursday, May 16 Sunday, May 19: 51 percent off any regular priced pizza (carryout orders ordered online only)
They'll be open daily with late-night hours on weekends: Friday and Saturday from 11 am to midnight.
