Oysters and seafood towers surface at Plank Seafood in Fort Worth
A new seafood spot is swimming into Fort Worth: Plank Seafood Provisions, a coastally-inspired oyster bar and wood-fire seafood grill, is ready to open at the Shops at Clearfork, at 5289 Marathon Ave.
According to a statement, the restaurant will open Monday, October 16.
Plank is a property of Flagship Restaurant Group, based in Omaha, Nebraska, and a sibling to Blue Sushi Sake Grill, which opened on Fort Worth's West Seventh Street in 2010. The first Plank opened in Omaha in 2013. This is the first Plank in the DFW area, but a location has been open in Austin since 2021.
Oysters are a mainstay and seafood towers are a signature dish, along with chowder fries, mussels, scallop a la plancha, and soft-shell crab sandwich.
Other favorites include mac & cheese, with cavatappi pasta, cheddar, béchamel, with optional lobster or bacon & green peas; trout meunière, Diver scallops, and cedar-plank Scottish salmon.
Brunch offerings include dishes like a crawfish omelet, fried clam strips, and BLT avocado toast with bacon-onion jam.
Cocktails are also seafood-inspired, such as the Overboard Oyster (oyster infused vodka, cocktail sauce, hot sauce, dirty mix); the restaurant also offers a selection of beer and wine.
Other locations feature an oyster bar, with oysters on ice, ready to be shucked and served. The nautical theme continues in the decor with wooden boat-shaped sculptures, rope accents, sea-style artwork, and naval-looking blue and white napkins.
