Fort Worth restaurant on Eagle Mountain Lake will temporarily close

Sammy's on the Lake
A Fort Worth restaurant and bar on the shore of Eagle Mountain Lake is closing: Sammy's On The Lake Marina which had been serving beer, live music, and lakeside views at 6680 Peden Rd. for six years, is closing on May 26.
In good news, the space will be taken over by a new set of owners, and their plan is to reopen in a few weeks.
Sammy’s was a mom-and-pop from Robert and Mariza Molina, who opened the concept in 2019. The two were previously at the Mexican restaurant Dos Molina's on NW 25th Street, which is owned by family members.
They said they were closing Sammy's "with a heart full of gratitude and a touch of bittersweet emotion," before thanking customers and staff, whom they called "the heart and soul of Sammy's."
"Although this chapter is closing, we are choosing to end it with a grateful and joyful heart," their post said. "Sammy’s on the Lake was more than a restaurant—it was a shared dream lived out with the best people we could have asked for."
The replacement concept is called The Anchor on Eagle Mountain Lake, and comes from the same owners who own the highly successful Blue Mound Cafe chain.
Their plan is to be open in a few weeks and continue to serve as a destination for food, cold drinks, and live entertainment, with a vow that "whether you’re coming by boat or by land, we’ve got something for everyone. Family-friendly vibes, unbeatable views, and a menu you’re going to love."
Sammy's gave them a nice sendoff:
"As we pass the torch to a new owner, The Anchor on Eagle Mountain Lake, we hope you’ll join us in welcoming them with the same warmth and support you gave us," the restaurant said in a post. "We are excited to see what the future brings for this beautiful place we’ve all come to love."
