Sangria Class at Magdalena’s
This hands-on mixology class will highlight the history of Spain’s beloved sangria cocktail and cover key ingredients along with how create your own custom blend using seasonal fruit. The $95 ticket price includes passed appetizers, a family-style dinner of pollo al ajillo, patatas bravas with garlic aioli, and prosciutto-wrapped asparagus – plus a half gallon of your own custom sangria. The event will run from 6-8 pm.

Blue Bell Lone Star Scoop Tour in Arlington
Texas' beloved Blue Bell is celebrating 119 years with its new Lone Star Scoop Tour, hitting more than 60 spots around North Texas through the end of August to give out free hand-dipped ice cream and frozen snacks, host giveaways, and offer special merchandise for sale. Italian Summer Aperitivo at The Crescent
The Crescent Hotel is embracing one of Italy’s favorite traditions: aperitivo hour, a pre-dinner ritual with light bites and refreshing cocktails. On Friday and Saturday from 6-8 pm, they'll serve handcrafted spritzes, barrel-aged beverages, and early-release spirits in The Circle Bar, Emilia’s patio, and throughout the lobby via roaming cocktail carts. The two-night event is presented in partnership with Campari and Aperol.
Cazcanes Tequila Tasting at Ellerbe Fine Foods
Coinciding with National Tequila Day, Ellerbe will host a guided tasting of Cazcanes Tequila, an award-winning tequila brand from Mexico. Four Cazcanes Tequila expressions will be paired with an array of chef-prepared ceviches. The lineup includes blanco tequila with shrimp ceviche, reposado with redfish ceviche, and anejo with crab ceviche. The tasting is $55 and begins at 6 pm.

20th Annual Rib-Eating Contest at Riscky’s BBQ
Fort Worth's oldest BBQ joint will challenge 30 barbecue lovers to eat as many beef ribs as possible in 60 seconds, with gift card prizes ($500, $250, and $100) going to the top three finishers. The contest will take place at Riscky’s Stockyards location, 140 E. Exchange Ave., coinciding with the day-long National Day of The American Cowboy celebration. Participants may sign up on the day of the event for a $5 entry fee, first-come, first-serve, and all will receive a limited-edition Riscky’s t-shirt. The competition begins at 11 am.
2026 Peruvian Festival at Artes de la Rosa
The 2026 Peruvian Festival, themed "Cultivating our Roots," will celebrate Peru's Independence Day with authentic Peruvian cuisine, along with vibrant music, traditional dances, local vendors, and more. The family-friendly, bilingual evening will kick off at 5 pm with a catered Peruvian reception featuring food from Todo Rico Catering and desserts from Tineo Restaurant. Performances of traditional folkloric music and dancing will begin at 6 pm. Tickets ($35) can be found here, and free parking is available on site.
