Healthy supermarket chain Sprouts Farmers Market is opening a new store in Burleson with a grand opening celebration kicking off on June 27.

The new store is located at 1679 SW Wilshire Blvd., in a rapidly growing area that already has two supermarkets in close proximity: a Kroger and an H-E-B — an H-E-B that stood for nearly a decade as one of the only H-E-B stores in the DFW area until the chain began its local expansion in 2022.

But Phoenix-based Sprouts has its own special mojo, offering a unique grocery experience featuring an open layout with fresh produce at the heart of the store. Sprouts approach is to inspire wellness with "better-for-you" products paired with purpose-driven people, stocking the latest in wholesome, innovative products made with lifestyle-friendly ingredients such as organic, plant-based, and gluten-free.

Burleson Mayor Chris Fletcher says in a statement that they're proud to welcome Sprouts Farmers Market to Burleson for "providing our residents with more options to shop locally for fresh and healthy food."

Sprouts Farmers Market also works with local Texas farmers such as Chip Berry Produce, Little Bear Produce, Wiggins Farms, and others to source local produce. Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, this store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain perfectly edible and nutrient rich to Tarrant Area Food Bank.

Grand Opening Weekend Events
From Friday, June 27-Sunday, June 29, activities will include:

• Weekend-long pop-up party in front, with samples of seasonal produce from the tasting bar, a "guess the weight" contest of oversized produce and more
• The first 200 shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a free reusable goodie bag filled with special products and samples
• The first 400 guests on Friday will receive a free long-stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral
• Giveaways and music throughout the weekend
• Free tastings throughout the store of new products from innovative brands at Vendor Village

Shoppers can receive 20 percent off their purchase over the grand opening weekend when they text BURLESON to 777-688 and scan their app account barcode at checkout; up to one redemption per Sprouts account per day, $20 maximum discount.

Sprouts has opened a number of locations in the DFW area in recent months including McKinney, Rockwall, and a long-awaited store in Oak Cliff opening on June 20 — among the 440-plus stores in 24 states nationwide.
