Saginaw, it's your lucky day: On Friday, June 28, the North Fort Worth area will see the arrival of a Sprouts Farmers Market, the fast-growing healthy grocery chain, which will open a location at 4525 W. Bailey Boswell Rd.

According to a release, there'll be festivities all weekend long, beginning with a ribbon cutting on Friday morning at 6:45 am, followed by doors opening at 7 am. Hoo-boy, that is early.

But you can bet that Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker is going to be there. She's a fan.

Sprouts has 52 locations in Texas, including two already in the Fort Worth area: one at the Village at Camp Bowie (where the mayor shops!), and another at Overton Park Plaza, at 4650 SW Loop 820.

Grand Opening Weekend Events are as follows:

• From Friday, June 28 through Sunday, June 30 a variety of activities will celebrate the grand opening. A “pop-up party” out front will give guests the chance to taste seasonal produce from the tasting bar, participate in a “guess the weight” contest of an oversized piece of produce and more. These activities are fun for the whole family and will last all weekend long.
• The first 100 shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a free ‘Goodness it’s Free’ reusable goodie bag filled with special products and samples. Plus, the first 400 guests on Friday will receive a free long stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral. Inside the store, shoppers can taste new products while they shop from innovative brands at the Vendor Village. Giveaways and music throughout the weekend will also add to the festivities.
• In anticipation of the opening, shoppers will have the chance to win a $500 Sprouts gift card up until midnight on June 30 when they sign up via this store page on Sprouts’ website. Customers who text “WORTH” to 777-688 will receive 20 percent off their purchase over the grand opening weekend (June 28-30) when they scan their app account barcode at checkout; up to two redemptions per Sprouts account per day.
