Hotly anticipated Teddy Wongs dishes delectable dumplings to Fort Worth
The hotly anticipated Teddy Wongs, a new Asian/dumpling spot coming to Fort Worth, is ready to roll: The restaurant and its delectable dumplings will open on Saturday, October 21, for lunch, happy hour, and dinner.
This is the partnership between master dumpling chef Patrick Ru, and hospitality-veteran-turned-restaurant-broker Jeffrey Yarbrough, opening in the Near Southside neighborhood at 812 W. Rosedale St. (Chef Stefon Rishel will no longer be participating as an operating partner.)
Teddy Wongs is a wine bar and restaurant centered around great wine paired with handcrafted dumplings and authentic Chinese cuisine.
Ru was listed in the Top Ten Best Dumpling Restaurants in New York, and has a culinary following from Hong Kong to Addison to Fort Worth. His mastery of the science of dumpling making is surpassed perhaps only by his beautiful plate presentations.
Teddy Wongs’ menu boasts an array of dumplings, including:
- Pork Soup Dumplings
- Crab & Pork Soup Dumplings
- Annie's Sui Mai (Yarbrough’s nod to Liberty Noodle chef Annie Wong)
- TX Mushroom & Pork Dumplings
- Shrimp Har Gow
- Hot Oil Wontons
- Chicken Celery Dumplings
- Veggie Dumplings
It's a dumpling-lover's dream come true, where every bite is evidence of Chef Ru's dedication to the art of dumpling making.
Teddy Wongs’ dedication to providing a memorable dining experience begins the moment guests walk through the door with its whimsical chic cowboy flair. Jeffrey Yarbrough and Teddy Wongs’ Sommeliers have curated the wine lists featuring over 80 boutique wines and over 32 by the glass that pair perfectly with the dumplings and authentic Chinese flavors, elevating dining to a whole new level.
Reservations can be made the website at www.teddywongs.com, where you can peruse the menu and make a reservation through Resy. Guests are invited to join the VIP club to enjoy exclusive benefits and stay up to date with the latest offers.
They'll be open Monday-Thursday 11 am-10 pm, Friday-Saturday 11 am-11 pm, and Sunday 11 am-9 pm, with Happy Hour Monday-Saturday from 3-6pm.
CEO of bigInk Commercial Real Estate, Yarbrough is a commercial real estate expert with over 25 years of experience specializing in the restaurant industry, and the previous owner of multiple restaurants spanning from Houston to Dallas.
