Texas Roadhouse to bring beef tips and scratch rolls to NW Fort Worth

A popular steakhouse chain is opening a new location in northwest Fort Worth: Texas Roadhouse, a Kentucky-based chain known for affordable prices and house-made rolls, will open a new outlet at 13101 NW Highway 287, in a newly constructed building just west of Haslet.
According to a spokesperson, the restaurant will open in the fall.
The northwest quadrant of Fort Worth seems to be a growth area for the chain; in December 2023, they opened a location in the Lake Worth area at 6672 NW Loop 820, just 19 miles away.
Texas Roadhouse signatures include hand-cut steaks, made-from-scratch sides, and reasonable prices; the most expensive steak is a porterhouse at $34.99.
The menu includes steaks, entree salads, fried catfish, pork chops, beef tips, burgers, and chicken sandwiches. They have buffalo wings, potato skins, chili, cheese fries, and ribs.
Some notable dishes include the cactus blossom, their cough-cough version of the Outback's Bloomin Onion; and their house-made rolls, which are yeast-based and which they say are baked fresh every five minutes and served with cinnamon butter.
The bread is such a thing that, along with a butcher to cut the steaks, every Texas Roadhouse employs a baker to make the rolls from scratch every day.
They're open for dinner-only during the week, but also for lunch on weekends.
Decor features murals created specifically for each restaurant, to reflect the local community.
The first location opened in Clarksville, Indiana, just across from the current HQ in Louisville, in 1993 with a vision to create anaffordable Texas-style restaurant. The chain now has more than 600 locations in 49 states and nearly 40 international locations in 10 foreign countries. DFW has 15 including Hulen Street, North Beach Street, Burleson, Bedford, Lake Worth, Mansfield, Mesquite, Irving, Grand Prairie, Garland, and The Colony.
