Austin’s Dirdie Birdie mini-golf restaurant & bar putts into Fort Worth

A fun miniature golf-themed "eatertainment" venue from Austin is ready to take its first swing in Fort Worth: The Dirdie Birdie, an indoor mini-golf venue with a full restaurant and bar, will officially open Wednesday, July 8.
It will debut at 2821 Morton St. in the West 7th District, taking over the former Bottled Blonde bar space, which closed in January 2025.
The Fort Worth location, first announced in late 2025, is the second outpost for the concept, which debuted in Austin in 2022. It was founded by Austin couple Vik and Lina Khasat in partnership with chef Nicholas Yanes and his Excelsior management group, whose restaurant portfolio includes Juniper, Uncle Nicky's, and Verbena.
“The Dirdie Birdie combines all of our favorite things, elevated food and drink mixed with an amazing interactive experience," the couple said in 2022. "We are creating the ideal gathering place for families, date night, friends and everything in between.”

The Dirdie Birdie is not affiliated with another Fort Worth bar of a similar name, Birdie's Social Club, which has been open in the Cultural District at 2736 W 6th St., since 2022. There are simply two different "Birdie" bars a few miles apart now. That won't be confusing at all.
According to a release, The Dirdie Birdie centerpiece is a custom-designed, 12-hole indoor miniature golf course created by design and fabrication firm Nine & Eye. Several holes pay tribute to Fort Worth landmarks, including TCU and the Stockyards, while others nod to the concept's Austin roots.
The mini-golf course may be the main draw, but the kitchen aims well beyond the 19th hole with a chef-driven menu that includes:
- Shareables: White Bean Hummus, Bang Bang Popcorn Shrimp, and Yellowfin Tuna Tostadas
- Handhelds and mains: 7th Street Smash Burger, Steak Frites, and 24-Hour Coffee Braised Short Rib
- Weekend brunch (launching in August): Matcha Pancakes, Brunch Burger, and Short Rib Hash
The beverage program was developed in partnership with Fort Worth hospitality veterans Travis Tober and Daniel Warrilow of Nickel City. Guests can order signature cocktails such as the Purdy Birdie, Mexican Mar-tee-ni, Strawnold Palmer, and Paloma on the Green, along with frozen Dirdie Margarita and Dirdie Lemonade cocktails and a selection of shooters.

"From the moment we started building here, Fort Worth showed us what the city was made of: genuine warmth and a real excitement for something new,” Vik and Lina Khasat say in the release. “The Dirdie Birdie brings together food we’re proud to serve, a cocktail program with real craft behind it and a mini golf experience that feels familiar to the community but unlike anything in town."
Opening day festivities tee off at 11 am July 8. The first 100 guests in the door will get a choice of free appetizer, free drink, or free round of golf. It will be open until 2 am.
The Dirdie Birdie will be open 11 am-11 pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday; and 11 am-2 am Thursday-Saturday. The venue is closed Mondays.
Beginning in August, it will also be available for private events and group outings.
