Brunch king cooks up new breakfast spot in Fort Worth's West Seventh

There's an exciting new breakfast concept coming to Fort Worth from a well-known name in the breakfast realm: Called Top of the Morning, it's opening in Artisan Circle, at 2948 Crockett St. in the space previously occupied by Mash'd.
The very chipper-sounding Top of the Morning will be the first solo concept from charismatic restaurateur Nick Roditis, best known for helping expand the acclaimed Yolk breakfast brand beyond the Midwest. It'll open in fall 2025.
With a background spanning beverage programs, nightlife, and full-service dining, Roditis will now step into the spotlight with a concept that’s fully his own. Top of the Morning gives him a chance to flex his breakfast know-how and create a space that's welcoming for all.
"I wanted to create a model where you’re not telling people they’re on a timer," Roditis says. "I don't like being told how much time I have to enjoy myself. A great experience creates a great memory."
Roditis was raised in Chicago’s Greek restaurant community, and moved to Dallas-Fort Worth in 2015 to launch Yolk’s first Texas location — helping to pioneer an entire onslaught of breakfast/brunch restaurant chains that have opened in the DFW since.
Top of the Morning will occupy a 3,600-square-foot space with seating for 200, and will include a pergola-covered patio, garage-door bar windows, and a walk-up counter for quick coffee or grab-and-go items.
Designed to be both family- and dog-friendly, the space aims to become a true neighborhood brunch spot.
“The style I’m going for is something I call comfortably sophisticated,” Roditis says, with a broad appeal — approachable enough for a casual family meal, refined enough to welcome professionals, and fun enough for groups looking for a boozy brunch.
The menu reflects that balance, with brunch staples like chicken & waffles — with bone-in chicken, versus chicken tenders, hearkening back to the dish's early authentic roots — alongside elevated dishes such as a truffle steak sandwich.
Mash'd opened in that location in 2015 and had been there nearly a decade before closing in early 2025. Prior to that, it was home to a Mexican restaurant, Hacienda San Miguel.
