Popular boutique cycling studio wheels into hot North Texas locations
A boutique cycling studio with a cult following is expanding its reach in North Texas. Zyn22 will open locations three and four in Southlake, at the intersection of Southlake Boulevard and Kimball Avenue, and Dallas’ Turtle Creek Village.
Currently there are Zyn22 studios in central Fort Worth and at the Shops at Park Lane in Dallas. Blending the techniques of indoor cycling with the philosophy of yoga and the artistry of dance, Zyn22 gives students a whole-body workout that combines cardio and weight training, to strengthen body and mind.
Under the direction of Denis Morton — an athlete who has done everything from college football and indoor cycling to aerial acrobatics and yoga instruction — instructors plan each class individually, so you get a different workout every time you visit.
Owners Melissa and Mark Page know that these additional studios will add a convenience factor for many of their riders — themselves included.
“The Southlake location was a natural choice for Zyn22 because it’s where we live,” Mark says. “Melissa is the director of the drill team at Southlake Carroll High School, and her students and their parents have been hearing about Zyn22 for a year and a half. They are excited to finally have a Zyn22 studio in their backyard.”
They followed similar reasoning in selecting the second Dallas location.
“We were drawn to Turtle Creek Village because it’s a thriving center in Uptown and is in co-owner Denis Morton’s neighborhood.”
As far as setup and class schedules go, the Southlake location will mirror the first two. The Turtle Creek Village studio will have exclusive features — so exclusive that the owners are keeping them under wraps for now
The Southlake studio opens on May 16; the Turtle Creek Village location will follow sometime in August. Marks says they also plan to launch e-commerce options in April to help reach more people, regardless of location.
