Wine tasting at Grand Cru Wine Bar & Boutique
Show off your oenophile prowess at the quaint Grand Cru Wine Bar & Boutique on Magnolia. The charming, locally owned shop is romantic without stuffy white tablecloths and candlelight. Pop by this classy joint and enjoy a sampling from the tapas-style menu and one of the weekend wine flights, available Thursday through Sunday. In fact, Sunday afternoon may be the best time to visit the small wine bar; the unobtrusive wine staff and the quiet atmosphere make conversation a breeze.
Exploring The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth
With more than 2,600 objects in the permanent collection, plus temporary exhibitions, The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth always has something on display that will inspire commentary. The museum’s size is comfortable, with several intimate galleries filled with thought-provoking art. Going old school at Scat Jazz Lounge
Like something out of Old Hollywood, Scat Jazz Lounge, located in the basement of the historic Woolworth building in the heart of Sundance Square, is a little hideaway that’s all about live music and a phenomenal cocktail menu. Legit jazz onstage, dark wood floors, and a cozy atmosphere mean there’s a bit of old-school romance in the air. This joint isn’t like the other bars and hangouts around town. Local favorites like Leon Bridges and Luke Wade, as well as iconic performers such as Ellis Marsalis, have graced the stage, making the lounge a perfect first date stop for music lovers.
