1. Revered Fort Worth craft beer brewery Panther Island Brewing to close. Panther Island Brewing, which has been brewing craft beer for more than a decade, closed its doors last weekend, after what they call "11 unforgettable years."
2. Artisan ice cream brand from Oregon makes Texas debut in Fort Worth. A major name in ice cream is coming to town. Cult-favorite artisan ice cream chain Salt & Straw will make its debut in Texas, opening its first locations in the state in Fort Worth and Dallas.
3. Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival lines up big entertainment for 2026. The annual Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival will return for its 39th year, bringing with it 18 square blocks of world-class art, live music, food, drinks, and family-friendly fun over the course of four days.
4. Urban village with restaurants and jazz club breaks ground in Fort Worth. The dirt is officially turning on a $1.7 billion, 37-acre mixed-use complex called Westside Village in west Fort Worth.

5. Junior League of Fort Worth cowgirls up for 2026 Grand Entry Gala. Hundreds of guests, dressed in their Western-chic best, descended on the red dirt of the Will Rogers Coliseum on Saturday, January 10 for an evening of dining, dancing, and celebrating rodeo season.
