1. New sushi restaurant grabs rooftop at Fort Worth's Sinclair Hotel. A sushi restaurant has opened on the rooftop of the Sinclair Hotel at 512 Main St. Called Nikuya, it's from DRG Concepts, the restaurant group whose other properties include Wicked Butcher, Wild Salsa, and Chop House Burger.

4. Sigel's stores across Dallas-Fort Worth rebrand as Twin Liquors. A longtime brand name in the Dallas-Fort Worth liquor store world is about to fade into the sunset. Sigel's, the chain founded in Dallas in 1905 by the Sigel family, will officially rebrand as Twin Liquors, adopting the name of its Austin-based parent company. The change will affect all seven Dallas-Fort Worth-area Sigel's stores.

5. Beloved Tex-Mex chain Blue Goose Cantina to open in North Richland Hills. A beloved Tex-Mex staple is coming to North Richland Hills. Blue Goose Cantina is opening a location at 9005 N. Tarrant Pkwy, near Precinct Line Road and Davis Boulevard, in a space that was most recently Enchiladas Ole.
