Tarrant County Elections to hold a public test of the voting system
There's a big election coming up in November 2024 and in anticipation, Tarrant County Elections is doing a dry run.
The agency is inviting the public to participate in a test of the County’s voting system ahead of the November 2024 elections in which we the people will vote on a new president of the U.S. of A., among other things.
According to a release, a public testing of the voting system is required by law.
As was done previously, the public can take part in the validation process of the voting equipment on Monday, September 16.
Both machine and hand-marked ballots will be available. These ballots will have the same races and propositions as will appear on the November 2024 ballot, but these ballots will only be used to validate the results produced by the machines.
None of the votes cast on Monday will have any effect on the election.
The public test will take place on Monday, September 16 at 8 am at 3333 Quorum Dr. # 280, Fort Worth. (Note: This is different location than the main Tarrant County Elections Office.)
