Theater lovers will be spoiled this weekend in Fort Worth, with three different offerings from which to choose. Other choices include a precursor to a major food festival, great classical music, and two interesting music performances from local bands.

Below are the best options for your precious free time Thursday through Sunday. Don't like what you see? Lucky for you, we have a much longer list of the city's best events.

2016 Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival Sipping Series: Texas Fine Wine
There is still a little over two months until the Fort Worth Food and Wine Festival officially starts, but you can start getting ready for that gustatory test with this wine event at Classic Wine Storage & Services. This is the fourth event within the FWFWF Sipping Series, and it will include pours from offerings produced by both Brennan Vineyards and Pedernales Cellars

Circle Theatre presents Clever Little Lies
Circle Theatre kicks off its 2016 season with Joe DiPietro’s Clever Little Lies. Currently playing off-Broadway, Clever Little Lies is a story about love and marriage … for better … and for worse. It follows what happens when family secrets and lies are revealed over the course of an evening. It will play through March 5.

Stage West Theatre presents Sexy Laundry
After a three-week run at WaterTower Theatre in Addison and a month-long run at Stage West Theatre, this weekend will be your absolute last chance to see this version of the romantic comedy. A couple endeavors to spice up their stale marriage with a romantic weekend in a swanky hotel, and hilarity ensues. There will be performances every day through Sunday.

Friday, January 29

Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Viva Italia!
The latest concert from the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will pay tribute to both Italian composers and a piece inspired by Italy. The orchestra will tackle Rossini's Overture to The Italian Girl in Algiers; Paganini's Violin Concerto No. 1, Op. 6; and Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4, "Italian" in three performances through Sunday at Bass Performance Hall.

Jubilee Theatre presents Seven Guitars
Jubilee Theatre starts the new year with its premiere production of Seven Guitars, written by master storyteller August Wilson. Set in the 1940s, a small group of friends gather following the untimely death of a local blues guitarist who was on the edge of stardom and reminisce about his short life and the unspoken passions in each of them. The production will run through February 28.

Green River Ordinance in concert
Fort Worth's own Green River Ordinance had a moment in the sun a few years back with their 2009 album, Out of My Hands, containing multiple songs that were featured on TV shows and led to tours with the likes of the Goo Goo Dolls and Train. Things have slowed down for them in recent years, but they're still producing great music, like their just-released Fifteen. They'll play at Billy Bob's Texas.

Saturday, January 30

Stoney LaRue in concert
Singer-songwriter Stoney LaRue is part of the wave of Texas Country/Red Dirt artists, having put out five albums since 2002, including 2015's Us Time. LaRue is as close to a regular at Billy Bob's as you can get, having played there multiple times and even recording a live album there in 2007. He'll play there yet again on Saturday night.
