There will also be visits from a renowned classical pianist, a nationally-known comedian, and a Texas original musician, as well as a holiday parade and a family-friendly opera.

Lone Star Film Festival
The 12th Annual Lone Star Film Festival in Sundance Square features five days of film screenings, panel discussions, parties, celebrities, and more. Among the headlining films will be Widows, starring Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, and Cynthia Erivo; The Sisters Brothers, starring Joaquin Phoenix and John C. Reilly; and Green Book, starring Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen. The festival, taking place through Sunday, will also feature the new Cine-Mas program, highlighting Latino filmmakers.
The Cliburn presents Kenny Broberg
The Cliburn’s 2017 Silver Medalist returns to make his first Cliburn Concerts appearance, after a debut season that included a recital tour in Hawaii and across the country; a return to his alma mater, the University of Houston, for its annual Texas Music Festival; and an acclaimed engagement with the Minnesota Orchestra. The performance will take place at the Kimbell Art Museum.
Amphibian Stage Productions presents Charla Lauriston: Beautiful Amazing Petty Human
Charla Lauriston is a Los Angeles-based stand-up comedian and television writer who has written for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Comedy Central’s Why? W/ Hannibal Buress, TBS’ People of Earth, and FOX’s Ghosted. She was listed as one of 8 Black Women Ready for SNL by Essence Magazine and has appeared on The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail on Comedy Central. She'll perform at Amphibian Stage Productions through Saturday.

Magnolia at the Modern presents Colette
A successful Parisian writer, Willy (Dominic West), convinces Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette (Keira Knightley) to ghostwrite for him. She pens a semi-autobiographical novel that becomes a bestseller and a cultural sensation. Colette's fight over creative ownership defies gender roles and drives her to overcome societal constraints, revolutionizing literature, fashion, and sexual expression. The film will screen 14 times over the next two weekends at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Appalachian Spring
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra will present a program of music inspired by dance. Experience Liszt’s lively Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2, Márquez’s Danzón No. 2, and Copland’s Appalachian Spring. Plus, FWSO Principal Oboist Jennifer Corning Lucio takes center stage for a performance of Strauss’ Oboe Concerto. The concert, under the direction of Jacomo Bairos, will have three performances through Sunday at Bass Performance Hall.

Tarrant Co. Veterans Council presents Veterans Day Parade
The Tarrant County Veterans Council is hosting the 2018 Veterans Day Parade in downtown Fort Worth, with a theme of "The War to End All Wars." Veterans, military groups, Fort Worth first responders, Junior ROTC units, bands, veteran support groups, and many more will participate in the parade, which will head south on Main Street from the Tarrant County Courthouse through Sundance Square to 5th Street and return heading north on Houston Street.
Billy F Gibbons in concert
For almost 50 years, Billy F Gibbons has been the leader of the legendary Texas band ZZ Top. As the group's main lyricist, he's been responsible for all of their biggest hits and, alongside bandmate Dusty Hill, has maintained the long beard that is the band's signature. In recent years he's shifted into a solo career, releasing two albums, including 2018's The Big Bad Blues. He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas.

Fort Worth Opera presents Hansel and Gretel
Fort Worth Opera will present Engelbert Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, a fully-staged, 60-minute, pop-up production of the enchanting fairy tale opera. Based upon the beloved Brothers Grimm story, this family-friendly classic in English explores the perils of growing up and reminds children of all ages to beware the witchy woods and never judge a book by its candy-coated cover. The performance on Sunday at The Marq in Southlake will be followed by performances on November 16 at Arlington Music Hall and November 17 at Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
