Barry Manilow to perform his 'Last Fort Worth Concert' on summer '24 tour
The man dubbed the most successful Adult Contemporary artist of all time, is coming to Fort Worth: Yes, we're talking about Barry Manilow, who will perform at Dickies Arena for his "Last Fort Worth Concert" on August 21.
The singer is on a "last concert" tour that also includes stops in San Antonio, Austin, and Houston.
The musician's career skyrocketed to superstardom when his mega hit song, “Mandy,” topped the charts in 1975. He's been a prominent figure in the music industry with a career spanning multiple genres and producing numerous chart-topping hits.
Having sold more than 85 million albums worldwide, Barry Manilow is one of the world's all-time bestselling recording artists. He's had an astonishing 51 Top40 singles, including 12 #1s and 27 Top 10 hits, and is ranked the #1 Adult Contemporary Artist of all-time, according to Billboard and R&R magazines.
He's been involved in virtually every facet of music, including performing, composing, arranging,and producing. A 2002 Songwriters Hall of Fame Inductee, Manilow has triumphed in every medium of entertainment, winning Grammy, Emmy, and TONY Awards and has been nominated for an Academy Award.
The show is billed as a once-in-a-lifetime experience. "It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m grateful for all the love and support over the years," Manilow says in a release.
Manilow has semi-regular residencies at Radio City Music Hall New York and Westgate Las Vegas Casino and Resort.
Tickets are on sale to the general public on Friday March 15 at 10 am via Ticketmaster.com. To purchase early, fans can go to Ticketmaster.com on Thursday, March 14 between 10 am-10 pm with unlock code: SMILE.
The tour was initially announced in January with eight cities, and now nine more have been added. Tickets for earlier shows on the tour have already sold out.
The singer has shown amazing resilience, as this follows his 2014-2016 North American tour called "One Last Time," which stopped in Dallas.
