Improv Arlington presents Marcello Hernández
Marcello Hernández is a Cuban/Dominican stand-up comedian, writer, and actor who's currently a featured player on Saturday Night Live. Doing stand-up since he was 18 years old in 2016, he has opened for headliners such as Tim Dillon, Jim Breuer, Mark Viera, Gilbert Gottfried, and more. He'll perform four times through Sunday at Improv Arlington.

Jhené Aiko in concert
R&B singer Jhené Aiko has been at the top of the genre since her debut in 2014. In addition to all three of her albums, mostly recently Chilombo in 2020, going to No. 1 on the Billboard R&B charts, she has toured with J. Cole, Drake, The Weeknd, and more, and collaborated with Childish Gambino, Big Sean, Future, and H.E.R. She'll perform at Dickies Arena as part of "The Magic Hour" Tour.
Stolen Shakespeare Guild presents Kiss Me Kate
Kiss Me Kate is a classic musical comedy filled with Cole Porter songs like "Too Darn Hot," "So In Love," and "Brush Up Your Shakespeare." It follows the behind-the-scenes antics of a theater company putting on a production of The Taming of the Shrew with a feuding divorced couple finding themselves starring opposite each other. The Stolen Shakespeare Guild production runs through July 28 at Arts Fort Worth.
Silverada in concert
Once a band picks their name, they usually stick with it, no matter how goofy or weird it might sound. But after 16 years as Mike and The Moonpies, the country/Americana band made the decision to change to Silverada earlier this year, as they thought the former name "was hindering their progress." Fans can get their first look at the "new" band when they play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of their new album, also called Silverada.

Parker County Peach Festival
The 39th Annual Parker County Peach Festival will feature a bounty of Parker County peaches and more than 200 arts/craft, food, and activity vendors. Visitors can get their fill of peach treats, like homemade peach ice cream, peach cobbler, peach pie, and more, and enjoy performances on two stages featuring performances by local talent, as well as the annual Peach Pedal Bike Ride. The one-day event takes place in downtown Weatherford.
Major League Baseball All-Star Weekend
Globe Life Field in Arlington, the home of the Texas Rangers, will play host to its first MLB All-Star Game next Tuesday, and there will be multiple related events leading up to the game. Capital One All-Star Village at Choctaw Stadium (the Rangers' former stadium), running Saturday through Tuesday, will be a baseball theme park, where fans can immerse themselves in MLB activations and culture. Other official events at Globe Life Field include the HBCU Swingman Classic on Friday, featuring 50 HBCU players; MLB All-Star Saturday, featuring top prospects showing off their skills and the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game; and Gatorade All-Star Workout Day and T-Mobile Home Run Derbyon Monday. Additionally, Sunday will feature the 2024 MLB Draft at Cowtown Coliseum and All-Star Sunday at the Stockyards, featuring live music, appearances by Texas Rangers legends Michael Young and Ian Kinsler, a post-Draft drone show, and more.
Amon Carter Museum of American Art presents Jean Shin: "The Museum Body"
Artist Jean Shin is transforming one of the Amon Carter Museum of American Art’s first-floor gallery spaces with a site-specific installation in which she will create a textile-based “portrait” of the Museum’s staff members, both those visible and invisible to the general public, who enable a museum to function. The installation will consist of donated garments intended to represent the collective work of the people within the institution. The exhibition will remain on display through June 29, 2025.
National Theatre Live: Vanya
Andrew Scott (Fleabag, Ripley) brings multiple characters to life in Simon Stephens’ (The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time) radical new version of Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya. Hopes, dreams, and regrets are thrust into sharp focus in this one-man adaptation which explores the complexities of human emotions. This screening of a previously-recorded production will be at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Cage The Elephant in concert
Mike and the Moonpies may have given up their goofy name, but Cage the Elephant is still sticking with theirs. The rock band dates back to 2006, with their biggest success coming via their second album, Thank You, Happy Birthday in 2011, which topped out at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Although they have yet to have a hit on the overall Hot 100, they've dominated the Alternative Airplay chart with 11 No. 1 songs, including the title track off their new album, Neon Pill. They'll play at Dickies Arena.
Hunter Hayes in concert
Country pop singer Hunter Hayes was making music for 10 years before his major label breakthrough in 2011 with his self-titled album, which went to No. 1 on the Billboard Country chart. He followed that up with another No. 1 album in 2014 and has maintained a nice presence in the genre ever since. He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of his 2023 album, Red Sky.
