An innovative indoor park has opened in Arlington: Slick City Action Park, a dry-slide and air court park, has opened a location at 1100 W. Arbrook Blvd., with its proprietary indoor slides and other attractions.

The action park spans approximately 25,000 square feet and features a variety of their signature "dry slides," up to 22 feet tall, in a variety of configurations: some straight downhill, some curvy, some with a roller-coaster vibe. You wear $5 socks you must buy at the venue, and you do your sliding on mats.

A standout is the Royal Flush, making its debut in the DFW market and exclusive to this location. The ride launches riders into a high-speed drop, sending them swirling around a giant bowl before a thrilling plunge. Toilety!

Other slides include the Rush, the Mega Launch, and the Avalanche. Additionally, the park offers two sport air courts for basketball and dodgeball. There is a Junior Jungle multi-level playground for kids, and a two-level patio with 15-plus party table spaces is great for celebrations.

Tickets are $26 for 90 minutes, or $36 for two hours; for anyone 4 years or older; it's $14 for under 4 years old.

While kids are the primary customer, other locations say that their customers are about 20 percent adult, and they host special late adult-only nights.

Headquartered in St. Louis, Slick City was founded by Bron Launsby alongside co-founder Gary Schmidt, who also founded Slick Slide Co., a revolutionary slide manufacturing company. Slick Slide Co. pioneered the slides that define the parks, delivering an unmatched sensation of speed and elevation, similar to a waterslide but without water and unlike anything else on the market.

They opened their first location in Denver in early 2022. Each franchise is independently owned and operated. The first DFW location opened in Denton in August 2024. There are two other locations in Texas, in Katy and Houston. They're also opening locations in Frisco and Plano in the spring. The Arlington location is in a former furniture store just east of the Parks mall, near Cooper Street and I-20.
