Punk-pop band Sublime to launch their own festival tour in Fort Worth

Sublime
Southern California punk-pop band Sublime is launching their very own touring music festival, and it will debut right here in Fort Worth, Texas. Called Sublime Me Gusta, this groundbreaking new event will mark the beginning of a national festival series built around the timeless sound, spirit, and cultural impact of none other than Sublime.
According to a release, the first (and for now only) date will be Saturday, May 9, at Panther Island Pavilion.
Taking its name from the iconic lyric “Me gusta mi reggae, me gusta punk rock” from the song “Caress Me Down,” the festival will embody everything Sublime stands for: sun-soaked vibes, rebellious spirit, and a love for music without boundaries. Fans can expect full-day events packed with live performances, local vendors, art, food, drinks, and exclusive Sublime experiences.
Tickets start at $90 for General Admission and are on sale now at www.MeGustaFest.com.
For this historic inaugural celebration, Sublime will be joined by their long-time friends and fellow icons, Slightly Stoopid, uniting two of the most influential bands in the punk–reggae–rock world on one stage. The full festival lineup will be announced in the coming weeks. The festival will also offer craft beer sampling as a $16 add-on purchase for those 21+, showcasing local, regional, and national craft beer, hard seltzer, and cider.
Sublime Me Gusta Festival is co-produced by Sublime and festival producer Brew Ha Ha Productions.
"It’s always been our dream to put on a Festival for our friends and family,” says Jakob Nowell, front man of Sublime. "It’s punk rock, hip hop, reggae, surf — all facets of true west coast alternative culture that has been kept alive for generations by fans and musicians alike. This is our era now and we got nothing but love for everyone coming with us.”
“As someone who lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, I couldn’t be more excited to launch the first-ever Sublime Me Gusta Festival right in our own backyard,” said event co-producer Cameron Collins of Brew Ha Ha Productions. “Sublime and Slightly Stoopid are two of the most influential bands of our generation and bringing them together for this new festival is something truly special. Fort Worth is the perfect place to kick off Sublime Me Gusta, and we can’t wait to share the full experience with everyone.”
The festival follows Sublime's 2025 comeback which was accompanied by a wave of sold-out shows. They'll celebrate the 30th anniversary of their self-titled album with two nights at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, April 17-18, marking the kickoff of a year-long celebration honoring the 1996 groundbreaking album. A new album, Till The Sun Explodes, is also set to be released in early 2026.
Sublime was founded in Long Beach in 1988 by Eric Wilson, Bud Gaugh, and Bradley Nowell. They released their first self-produced album, 40oz. to Freedom, in 1992 via Skunk Records, and eventually landed a deal with Gasoline Alley Records, an imprint of MCA. On May 25, 1996, Bradley Nowell tragically passed away, but in 2023, Bradley Nowell’s son Jakob Nowell joined original Sublime members Bud Gaugh and Eric Wilson on stage for the first time to perform at a benefit concert. They decided to move forward and continue the Sublime legacy, and debuted their new lineup at Coachella in April 2024.
