Luke Bryan in concert
For a long time, country singer Luke Bryan was a big enough deal to headline concerts at AT&T Stadium in Arlington. His career has cooled down a bit in recent years despite serving as a judge on American Idol since 2018. But having to "downgrade" to arenas has been to the benefit of his fans, as it gives them a slightly more intimate venue in which to enjoy all of his hits, as well as songs off his new album, Signs, which will be released in September. He'll play at Dickies Arena.
Stage West Theatre presents Sherlock Holmes and the Adventure of the Ghost Machine
Sherlock Holmes has retired, trading mysteries for domestic bliss with Irene Adler, much to the dismay of Dr. Watson. Meanwhile, bitter rivals Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison have arrived in London with their latest inventions only to have them promptly stolen. The world-changing implications of the missing “Ghost Machine” and “Death Ray” pull the world’s greatest detective back into action. The production, making its regional premiere at Stage West, runs through July 5.
Casa Mañana presents Yacht Rock: It Rocks ... But Not Too Hard
Casa Mañana will sail into summer with the smooth sounds of Yacht Rock, a genre defined by soft rock classics and breezy melodies. The production runs through June 28.
Improv Arlington presents Russell Peters
In the 2010s, Russell Peters was as big a comedian as you can get, getting up to No. 3 on Forbes' list of highest-paid comedians and becoming the first person to get a comedy special on Netflix. He'll perform six times through Saturday at Improv Arlington.
