Before Jaws ate the box office alive, three actors nearly ate each other. Trapped on a boat with a broken mechanical shark, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, and Roy Scheider turn a film delay into a testosterone-soaked pressure cooker. The production runs through August 16 at Amphibian Stage.
Improv Arlington presents Tony Rock
Being the brother of an established entertainer, Tony Rock was able to successfully elude the shadows of his older sibling (Chris Rock) and step into his own limelight. After 25 years of experience, Tony has proven himself as a skillful comedian, actor, and executive producer. He'll perform six times through Sunday at Improv Arlington.

Magnolia at the Modern: Couture
In Couture, Angelina Jolie stars as Maxine, an American filmmaker who arrives in Paris during the frenzy of Fashion Week. Drawn into a love story with a familiar collaborator as her path intersects with women of different ages and cultural backgrounds — all fighting to take control of their own destinies — Maxine finds herself on a deeply personal journey of self-discovery that forces her to confront the choices shaping her life. The film will screen seven times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Creed Fisher in concert
Country singer Creed Fisher fancies himself a bit of an antihero, with his 2022 album, Rebel of the South, featuring a dose of unapologetic poking at the hornet’s nest that he calls "the mainstream country music hypocrisy." He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of his 2025 album, Between Heaven and Hell.

National Day of the American Cowboy
The National Day of the American Cowboy celebrates the history and heritage of the American cowboy. Activities include a Cowboy Celebration parade, matinee rodeo, Old West comedy gunfight shows, a chance to see the expansion of John Wayne: An American Experience museum, a fiddlers showcase, cow milking, live music, cowboy poetry, armadillo races, and more. The event takes place at Fort Worth Stockyards Station.
Riscky's Barbeque presents 20th Annual Rib-Eating Competition
At Riscky's Barbeque's 20th annual Rib-Eating Competition, up to 30 contestants race to eat as many Riscky's beef ribs as possible in 60 seconds, with top qualifiers going head-to-head for prizes. Every competitor receives a limited-edition Riscky's T-shirt. The showdown, running alongside the National Day of the American Cowboy festivities, takes place at Riscky's Barbecue in the Stockyards.
Timeless Concerts presents Classical Music in the Movies
Classical Music in the Movies will highlight Mozart in a Steve Martin comedy, Schubert in a Bruce Willis movie, a beautiful cello solo from Secret Garden, opera arias heard in Moonstruck, and even the Irish fiddling music heard in Titanic. The concert will feature violinists LeeAnne Chenoweth and Keyreel Raskolenko, cellist Alice JeongA Lee, pianist Heejung Kang, tenor Sergio Cepeda, and soprano Youna Hartgraves, with guest violinist Marina Dichenko and guest bassist Paul Unger. It takes place at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band in concert
Jimmy Buffett’s Coral Reefer Band comes to Fort Worth for the Keep The Party Going Tour, honoring the late Buffett, who passed away in 2023. The Coral Reefer Band began their journey with the Rock & Roll Hall of Famer in 1973. While members have changed over the years, most have performed with Buffett for over 30 years. Together, they will celebrate the songs and community that defined a generation of fans. The concert takes place at Dickies Arena.

Josh Weathers is a Fort Worth-based soulful singer-songwriter. He has spent 20 years honing his craft of combining songs of hope with a high energy rock n’ soul live show. He's no stranger to the various stages around Fort Worth, and he released a live album in November 2020. He'll play at Billy Bob's Texas in support of his 2026 album, Neon Never Fades.
