It’s the calm before the Valentine’s weekend storm of dining events — and apparently a winter storm that looms later this week. Plan for another Girl Scout Cookie and wine pairing, a vodka tasting in a hidden speakeasy, and tasty weekend events from a crawfish boil to a biscuit bar brewery brunch. Be sure to check for weather-related event cancellations for late-week events, just in case. And if you're planning ahead for Valentine's Day dining, that list is here.

Wednesday, February 2

Girl Scout Cooking Pairing at Wine 30
The Roanoke wine bar will partake in the Girl Scout Cookie pairing trend and partner four wines with four sweet cookies. The pairing will be offered from 7-8 pm for $23 a person and reservations should be made in advance.

Thursday, February 3

Hanson of Sonoma Vodka Tasting at Magnum inside Hotel Vin
UPDATE: The event has been postponed to February 17 due to impending inclement weather.
Located inside the hip new speakeasy hidden inside Hotel Vin in downtown Grapevine (look for the telephone booth), this tasting will feature organic vodka from a family-owned distillery in Sonoma, California. Participants will sip Hanson of Sonoma’s original vodka along with three flavored varieties. Reservations are $45 per person and the tasting begins at 6 pm.

Pickle & Pints at Courtside Kitchen
Fort Worth’s new Courtside Kitchen combines pickleball with courtside food and drinks. Get access to the pickleball courts for two hours for $20, which also comes with a beer from Grapevine’s Hop and Sting Brewing Co. and a souvenir pint glass. The deal runs from 6-8 pm and reservations must be made in advance.

Walt Wine Tasting at Next Bistro
The Asian-fusion restaurant in Colleyville will host a multicourse dinner to be paired with six wines from Napa Valley’s Walt Wines, which specializes in Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Guests will hear from Jeff Jappelli, Walt general manager, and Chad Nuzum, central regional manager for Hall Wines, an umbrella of which Walt is a member. Dinner is $99 per person, plus tax and gratuity, and will begin at 6 pm.

Saturday, February 5

Happy Birthday Harvest Hall
The European-style food hall in downtown Grapevine will celebrate its first birthday with specials for everyone. Visit all day for $1 cake pops from Main Line Coffee Bar (where guests can also pick up birthday party favors), $3.65 Birthday Shots from the Main Bar, and $3.65 bites from all six of the hall’s chef-driven kitchens. Harvest Hall is open until 11 pm.

Breakfast in Bed Brunch at World of Beer
Stay in your PJs and cozy up to a special brunch menu featuring items that are breakfast-in-bed worthy. Think cereal-topped doughnut bites, blueberry brioche French toast, and breakfast-themed cocktails. Tasty libations include PB & PJ’s, made with Skewball Peanut Butter Whiskey; Jammie Jam, made with coconut rum, white peach syrup, OJ and bubbly; and the Pillow Fight Shot, made with Jameson Cold Brew, Kahlua, and Rumchata. The menu will be available at the Fort Worth location beginning at 11 am.

Sunday, February 6

Wild Cajun Crawfish Boil at Lola’s Trailer Park
