The February 13 girls’ night celebrating gal pals is gaining steam as an unofficial holiday, and bars and restaurants are starting to embrace it. But the week is also busy with dessert tastings, a pie and ice cream pop-up, and even traditional afternoon tea with scones. Consider this week the sweetest of the year. Valentine’s Beer Dinner at Funky Picnic Brewery & Café
Celebrate the day of love early with a five-course dinner paired with Funky Picnic’s brews. The $135 ticket includes dinner and pairings for two along with tax and gratuity. Menu highlights include seared scallop with citrus beet risotto, roasted lamb, and tuxedo pot de crème. Dinner begins at 7 pm.
Wednesday, February 12
Beer & Dessert Pairings at Funky Picnic Brewery & Café
Skip dinner and go straight to dessert. This flight of four beers comes with four specialty desserts, including smoked whiskey dark chocolate truffles, chocolate-covered strawberries, red velvet cake, and raspberry rose panna cotta. The pairing is $20 and is available all day Wednesday through Sunday.
Girl Scout Cookie & Beer Pairing at The Bearded Lady
Girl Scout Cookie season means beer pairings, and The Bearded Lady is the latest establishment to offer such. The $20 ticket includes four beers from Lakewood Brewing Company paired with two to three cookies each. The pairings will be available from 6 to 9 pm.

Galentine’s Day Event: Wine + Chocolate at Brewed
Gather the gal pals for fireside s’mores paired with wine at the West Magnolia Avenue restaurant and bar. Featured wines will be $5, as well as the make-your-own-s’mores bar. Plan to visit between 5:30 and 9 pm.
Galetine’s Party at the Fort Worth Zoo
The Zoo’s first-ever Galentine’s party calls for a girls’ night with some potentially “wild” guests. Mix and mingle with the zoo’s outreach animals and partake in hors d’oeuvres, desserts, and an open bar. The $85 ticket includes an adoption package that supports the care and feeding of the zoo’s animals for one year. Tickets must be purchased in advance, and the event begins at 7 pm.

Valentine’s Pie Pop-Up at Gypsy Scoops
It’s a match made in pop-up heaven. Sweet Lucy’s Pies will visit the South Main Street location of Gypsy Scoop for an evening of pie a la mode. Pie queen Lindsey Lawing will serve slices of red velvet, crème brulee, and black bottom cherry pies ready to top with any Gypsy Scoops ice cream. The event will run from 4 to 7 pm or until sell-out.

Valentine’s Afternoon Tea at Fort Worth Botanic Garden
The Rock Springs Café inside the Fort Worth Botanic Garden will host traditional afternoon tea complete with scones, tea sandwiches, and a selection of fine teas. The menu also includes macarons, mini cupcakes, canapes, chicken salad, and pinwheels. Reservations are $45 per person and the tea begins at 2 pm.
