Irving Sports Bar
New Irving sports bar goes long with happy hour and extensive menu
An Irving restaurant that once felt too big has reinvented itself as a sports bar called Our Glass Restaurant & Sports Bar.
In its former life it was called the Grand Buffet, and it had exactly that: a massive buffet with tons of items in a very big space. Now all that extra room has been filled with HD screens, pool tables, and live music.
The menu remains huge, incorporating everything from traditional sports bar fare, such as chicken wings, nachos, and burgers, to a surprising selection of sushi and pho. The bar has Texas spirits and Texas craft beers on tap, and a lengthy happy hour from 2 to 7 pm every day.
There are also pool tables, Golden Tee, darts, foosball, and shuffleboard. There is karaoke on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 9 pm to midnight. And there is no smoking. This might feel like old news if you're a patron of bars in Dallas, but Irving just passed its smoking ban in February 2015.
Our Glass is keeping long hours, from 11 am to 2 am every day. Owners Kevin and Cheryl Wong say they aim to please folks in the Irving area, but draw patrons from other surrounding cities by featuring a diverse menu and one of the biggest built bars in in the city.
