This Week in Gluttony
These are the 5 best food and drink events in Fort Worth this week
Holiday events are starting to appear in the form of winter spiced menu specials, a holiday happy hour with a whiskey barrel Christmas tree backdrop, and beer pairings with Christmas cookies. There’s also a beer dinner celebrating the holiday flavors of Mexico (think tamales and buenelos), and tasting of premier winter releases of craft brew. ‘Tis the season to eat, drink, and be merry.

The event will run from 5 to 9 pm.
Real Ale Beer & Cookie Flight at Flying Saucer
Who needs milk when one can pair beer with cookies? The downtown pub will serve a flight of Real Ale holiday-perfect brews paired with cookie classics, including poinsettia beer with a sugar cookie, double dry hopped axis with a lemon cooler, dunkleweizen with gingerbread and café de olla with a Mexican hot chocolate cookie. The pairings will be available starting at 6 pm. Stay to watch Polar Express at 7 pm (kids welcome) and the more adult Krampus at 9 pm. Tickets are $18.
