Brunch as a serious pasttime has been on the upswing and it's hitting Fort Worth in a very big way — especially in the buzzy far north Fort Worth quadrant, where a flurry of new breakfast- and brunch-centric restaurants have opened in the past few years.
With all this brunch action, it's time for a roundup of recently-opened restaurants serving bodacious brunch.

Black Bear Diner
All-day breakfast diner chain from California debuted a location near Heritage Trace Parkway
featuring pancakes, French toast, omelets, scrambles, biscuits & gravy, and benedicts. There are bear claws, French toast made with cinnamon rolls, chorizo breakfast burrito, and breakfast sliders with choice of hot Italian or mild Italian sausage, and chicken fried steak & eggs with biscuits.
Breakfast Club 51
Small family-owned chain has three locations: Dallas, Mansfield, and Alliance Town Center. Dishes include omelets, skillets, crepes, eggs Benedict, and corned beef hash. Eight varieties of French toast and 11 varieties of pancakes include bacon pancakes with bacon bits, topped with bacon jam; Oreo, topped with icing and chocolate; lingonberry, with lingonberries imported from Sweden; chocolate chip; fruity, with strawberries & blueberries; and banana Foster.

Family-owned restaurant in Alliance Town Center proclaiming to not be “your basic brunch." The menu
includes French toast, omelets, breakfast bowls, pancakes, and benedicts. Standouts include lobster avocado Benedict, flaming apple whiskey toast, chilaquiles, honey hot fried chicken & waffles, and a sammie with French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, chicken sausage, and cheddar cheese. Cocktails include mimosas, Negroni sour, and whiskey sangria.

Brunch spot in Alliance Town Center is
known for putting a spin on classics, such as French toast with toppings like fruity pebbles or berries and mascarpone, or a fried cinnamon roll with cream cheese icing. Aside from sweet treats, the menu includes omelets, pancakes, benedicts, skillets, crepes, migas, breakfast sandwiches, and steak & eggs.

Breakfast, brunch, and lunch concept with nine locations across Fort Worth takes brunch seriously. Not only do they have a full brunch menu, there's a juice bar and coffee called
Project Sunrise that's grown by groups of women farmers in South America. Their menu features options such as lemon ricotta pancakes, avocado toast, power wrap, chickichanga, and farmhouse hash. They also have seasonal options such as carnitas breakfast quesadilla and strawberry tres leches French toast.

Restaurant with a disco vibe serves
out-of-the-box brunch creations, including a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar. True to the name, there are eight hash options with ingredients like brisket, and carnitas; plus doughnuts, birria bao buns, a Nashville hot chicken sandwich, and a burger on a croissant. Drinks include not only the usual mimosas and bloody Marys but also original options such as cereal shooters, featuring Frosted Flakes cereal with milk and vanilla Monin, served in an edible cookie shot glass.

Keller restaurant specializes in
Cajun flavors and Southern dishes. The brunch menu options boast a stuffed French toast, a breakfast burrito, skillet hotties, crab cake egg Benedict, and Cajun omelets and egg Benedict featuring Andouille sausage. It's accompanied by Zydeco music playing in the background.
James Provisions
Upscale restaurant from Brooklyn relocated to Hurst is hosting weekend brunch Saturday-Sunday from 11 am-4 pm. Dishes include lemon ricotta pancakes, huevos rancheros with black beans, bacon & eggs with potato leek rœsti, plus steak + eggs. Beverages include smoothies, cocktails, and juices such as an $11 Nectar of the Gods with celery, apple, lemon, and ginger, and a blueberry avocado smoothie with coconut milk.
