Harvest season is here, which means wineries are prepping to pick grapes at their most plump, juiciest state. One local winery is celebrating the season with a traditional grape stomp that's now in its 19th year. Ice cream is also big this week - one event pairs it with wine and another gives back proceeds from sales to support local children's hospitals. Celebrate the opening of a new local Chick-fil-A, and save room for a dumpling and spirits pairing and boat-themed drinks and eats.

Miracle Treat Day at DQ
Have something sweet for a good cause. Grand opening of Chick-fil-A in Azle
Azle finally has its very own Chick-fil-A. Doors to the new restaurant, at 417 NW Pkwy. St., will open at 6 am. As part of the opening day "Moove-In Party," guests of all ages who arrive dressed in cow spots or sporting a cow-spotted accessory can redeem one free entrée or Kid's Meal inside the restaurant or through the drive-thru. The Pantry on Magnolia Pairing at Acre Distilling Co.
The Pantry on Magnolia will bring its dumplings and bite-sized delights to Acre Distilling Co. in downtown Fort Worth for a spirits pairing. The lineup includes stir fry beef with single malt whiskey, pork belly bao with bourbon, Hatch chili chicken dumpling with lemon gin, and boozy peach cobbler with coffee bourbon. The tasting is $30 with seating times of 1 pm, 2:30 pm, 4 pm, and 5:30 pm.

Scoops and Sips Ice Cream and Wine Pairing at Messina Hof Grapevine Winery
Messina Hof Grapevine Winery has partnered with locally owned Beth Marie’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream for a unique pairing experience. The $45 ticket includes five ice cream scoops matched with five wines, from rich reds to fruity whites. The tasting will run from 1-3 pm.

Harvest Fiesta at Lost Oak Winery
Kick off grape harvest season at Lost Oak’s 19th annual Harvest Fiesta. The sprawling Burleson winery will feature live music, barbecue, wine, complimentary snow cones, and a traditional grape stomp complete with an I Love Lucy costume contest. While admission is free, stomping grapes requires a $25 ticket and stomp times start every 30 minutes from 6-8 pm. The event will run from 6-9 pm.

Yacht Club Week at Walloon’s
Walloon’s in the Near Southside is kicking off a week of dockside-inspired specials. Drop an anchor for lobster avocado toast ($22) on Sunday and fish and chips ($18) on Monday. New “Yacht Club” cocktails - which run through August 8 - include the Royal Hawaiian ($12) with gin, pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orgeat; and Fish House Punch ($18) made with cognac, Bacardi Cuatro, tea, lemon juice, and Giffard Peche de Vigne.
