The experts from Aly’s Sweet Spot Sugar Cookie Classes will visit Funky Picnic to host a beginner decorating class. Participants will learn how to use royal icing to create farmhouse-inspired Christmas cookies. The price is $45 and class will run from 7-8:30 pm.

TX Whiskey Cocktail Class: Holiday Edition
Learn how to make three handcrafted holiday cocktails with a lesson by TX Whiskey mixologist Jason Shelly. The $80 ticket price includes a drink ticket to redeem pre-class, plus the three cocktails made in class. There’ll also be a food truck, plus the TX store will be open for last-minute shopping. Doors open at 6 pm and the class will run from 6:30-8 pm.

Cookies with Santa at Rooftop Cinema Club
Decorate cookies with Santa on the terrace level of the Worthington Renaissance hotel downtown before an outdoor movie screening of Elf. Tickets are $35 and include a DIY cookie decorating kit plus a Polaroid picture with the big guy in red. Doors open at 3:30 pm with the movie to start at 4:30.
Friday Happy Hour at Kimbell Art Museum
Friday means it’s time for the Kimbell Art Museum’s weekly happy hour, when the renowned museum opens up after hours for cocktails, bites, and live music. The Mike Luzecky Trio will provide tunes while guests can enjoy beverages and bites available for purchase. (Members receive a 10 percent discount.) Admission is free and the event will run from 5-7 pm.

Santa Brunch at Musume
Santa is making appearances everywhere these days, including this Japanese fine dining destination at the Sandman Signature Hotel downtown. Visit for brunch between 11 am-2 pm and enjoy unique dishes like duck and waffles, yuzu poppy seed bread, and the Brunch Bento with miso black cod, pork belly fried rice, egg, smoked salmon roll, and “Good Morning Gyoza.” Santa will be ready for photos and last-minute gift requests.

Christmas PJs Party at Hop and Sting Brewing Co.
Crawl out of bed and hop on over to this Grapevine brewery for a PJ party. Everyone who wears holiday pajamas or onesies will get $2 off every draft beer. Oli’s Island Shack will serve food from 12-4 pm and the brewery will be open from 12-5 pm.
