Lost Oak Winery Pairing at Salute Wine Bar
The Foundry District wine bar, new in the former Thirty Eight & Vine space, will host a wine pairing featuring Burleson’s Lost Oak Winery. Select wines will be paired with small bites by Joe Lane Catering. Reservations are $12 per person and the pairing begins at 6 pm.

Melt Ice Creams 10th Birthday Party
Visit the scoop shop’s flagship Magnolia Avenue location for a birthday party that will combine cake and ice cream. Melt will launch a limited-time birthday cake flavor made with cake batter ice cream loaded with house-made yellow cake pieces and rainbow-colored cake batter crumbles. The flavor is available for the month of April. During the party, which will run from 5-6:30 pm, guests can get complimentary yellow sprinkles and enjoy sips from La Pulga Tequila and Topo Chico. There'll also be face-painting for kids, free 10-year bandanas, and guests can create birthday cards for Melt’s non-profit partner, The Birthday Party Project, which provides birthday fun for homeless children.

Japanese Festival Sake Bar at Rock Springs Café
The Fort Worth Botanic Garden will host its annual Japanese Festival in the 7.5-acre Japanese Garden, and this year Rock Springs Café is coming in clutch with a new sake bar. Hot and cold sake will be served along with sake-based cocktails, like the sake mule with ginger beer, sake mojito with mint and lime, and tropical sake with pineapple and orange juices. Advance tickets to the festival, which will run Saturday and Sunday, are $12 for adults, $6 for kids 6-15, and $10 for those 65-plus.
Tropic Lady Grand Opening
After more than a year in the works, The Bearded Lady’s spinoff restaurant, Tropic Lady, is now open at 2719 Race St. Menu items range from smash burgers (including a vegan version) to blackened shrimp tacos and watermelon salad. Drinks follow the tropical vibe with options like coconut margaritas and mojitos. A grand opening celebration will be held all day Saturday featuring a live DJ and the launch of a few new menu items. The party will run from 11 am-midnight.
Taco & Tequila Crawl
The fourth annual West Seventh District bar crawl will guide guests to multiple stops for tacos along the way. Participating venues include Salsa Limon, Maestro Tacos, El Chingon, Kung Fu Saloon, and Reservoir, with an after party set at Koe Wetzel’s Riot Room. The $25 ticket includes a taco at four stops of your choice along with discounted specials on margs, tequila, and beer at each bar. Registration starts at Bar 2909 beginning at 1 pm and the crawl will run until 6 pm.
Birdie’s Bluegrass Brunch & Boil
Crawfish season is in full swing, and Birdie’s Social Club is here for it. The Wild Cajun will be on-site serving crawfish boil, shrimp, gumbo starting at 2 pm, which is also when the live bluegrass music will begin. Kids and dogs welcome.
Frosé Launch Party at WineHaus
The Park Place Avenue wine bar will start serving its house-made frosé, which is reason to celebrate. Cool off with the concoction, which is blended with fresh strawberries, while listening to a yacht rock-themed set by Allan Heida. There’ll also be a grilled cheese truck on-site. The party will run from 5-8 pm.
Eat Your Art Out at The Arlington Museum of Art
More than a dozen confectionary artists from around North Texas will visit the Arlington Museum of Art (which has a new location at 1200 Ballpark Way) to present their creative culinary masterpieces. Guests can peruse the artistic confections while enjoying hors d’oeuvres, dessert samples, and wine. The fundraiser is the museum’s largest of the year and proceeds benefit its education center and summer camp program for at-risk youth. Tickets are $100 and the event will run from 7-10 pm.
