Little Lilly Sushi is opening a second location in Keller at 1004 Keller Pkwy. #106. The restaurant posted a note on its Facebook page, saying "Getting a lot of messages and posts lately… yes it’s true, we are opening a second location! ETA late summer. Once we have more updates, we will post. But until then, get hyped Keller, we are coming for you!" Owner "Danny" Liu opened the first location in 2012 at 6100 Camp Bowie Blvd. #12 in Fort Worth, after working at sushi restaurants across Dallas-Fort Worth.
PJ’s Coffee is opening a location in North Richland Hills, at 5555 Rufe Snow Dr. at the corner of Browning Drive. The location has a 2,200-square-foot coffeehouse as well as a drive-thru. PJ's was founded in New Orleans in 1978 by Phyllis Jordan; in 2008, the company was purchased by New Orleans natives and brothers Paul, Steven, and Scott Ballard. They serve hot, iced, and frozen coffee beverages, organic tea, and breakfast pastries. This is the sixth PJ’s Coffee in DFW and the 16th in Texas.
Twilite Lounge has some scrumptious new menu items including The Cubano Po'Boy with turkey, ham, spicy mustard, pickled red onion, spicy pickles, and Swiss cheese; alligator chili; Cajun fried onion rings; and fried pickles with spicy sauce.
Dream Tacos, the creative taqueria in Bedford from award-winning chef Chetra Chau, just launched a new menu of vegan tacos with options that include Fried Tempura Avocado & Tofu, Bulgogi Beef, Philly Cheese, Beef Wellington, and Carne Asada Mushroom.
Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream in the Stonegate Crossing shopping center at 2743 S. Hulen St. has a special promotion in honor of the Frogs making it to the National Championship. (Remember that?) TCU students who show their student ID get a 25 percent discount on all purchases, valid through January 31.
85C° Bakery & Café just leased a location in Grand Prairie's Asia Time Square, at 2625 W. Pioneer Pkwy., according to a release.
Bonefish Grill has a new seasonal menu featuring Kung Pao Brussels sprouts, scallop & shrimp scampi pasta, Alaskan Sablefish with spinach & crab, ceda-plank salmon, chocolate lava cake, and the return of their Winter White Cosmo cocktail with Reyka Vodka, Cointreau, St. Germain Elderflower liqueur, white cranberry juice, fresh lime juice and topped with frozen cranberries.
Sprinkles Cupcakes has teamed with Gold House, the premier nonprofit collective of Asian and Pacific Islander (API) leaders to celebrate Lunar New Year with a new Gold Bunny Almond Red Velvet Cupcake featuring an almond-filled red velvet cake atop an almond cookie crust and topped with almond cream cheese frosting, available through January 29.
El Pollo Loco has new Loco Burrito Grillers: Sonoran style hand-held burritos with chicken or beef, served with a new Loco Dipping Sauce in a specially designed carrier box featuring artwork by Raúl Urias. Each order contains two Loco Burrito Grillers, and you can also get them in a chicken and beef combo, one of each. Available through February 22.
Smoothie King has launched Power Meal Smoothies in three flavors: Blueberry Raspberry (blueberries, raspberries, apple juice, almonds, Gladiator protein, protein blend, multivitamin); Cinnamon Banana (cinnamon, bananas, dates, almonds, Gladiator protein, protein blend, multivitamin); and Spinach Pineapple (spinach, pineapple, white grape lemon juice blend, almonds, Gladiator protein, protein blend, and multivitamin).
Taco Cabana launched a Double Crunch Pizza in December 2022 and it was such a hit that they're adding two flavors: Chorizo & Egg Double Crunch Pizza, available for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and Shredded Chicken Double Crunch Pizza. They're $5 at all Texas Taco Cabana locations.
Pizza Hut is bringing back its New York-style extra-large 16-inch pizza, first introduced in 1999, featuring six oversized, foldable slices with pepperoni, marinara, and Parmesan oregano seasoning, for $14. It'll be available February 1 for a limited time, how long they do not say.
Wetzel’s Pretzels has two new Latin treats: Frozen Horchata and Choco Churro Bitz with Ghirardelli chocolate sauce.
Mi Dia From Scratch has a January cocktail of the month, the Humo de Violeta (Violet Smoke) Margarita with Ilegal Joven Mezcal, Chicha Morada, lemon juice, and ginger agave, served in a martini glass with dry ice and a Tajin rim for $16 through January 31, at all three locations in Plano, Grapevine, and Flower Mound.
RS3 Strategic Hospitality, a division of Ryan Sanders Sports & Entertainment based in Round Rock, has come aboard as the official hospitality provider for Choctaw Stadium in Arlington. RS3 Strategic Hospitality consists of Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, former Houston Astros minority owner Don Sanders, and Ryan Sanders Sports & Entertainment CEO Reid Ryan at the helm. They've been the food & beverage provider at the Dallas Stars’ 6,000-seat Comerica Center since 2019, and Riders Field, home of the Frisco RoughRiders, since 2021.
