New pizzeria headed to Fort Worth's Alliance brings out the stars

Star-shaped pizza from Mister O1
An artisanal pizzeria concept with fabulous authentic pizzas is coming to Fort Worth: Mister O1, a Miami-based chain known for its star-shaped pizzas, is opening a location in the Alliance area, at 2828 N. Tarrant Pkwy. #110, at the southwest corner of North Tarrant Parkway and I-35, where it will open on June 24.
This is the chain's first location in Fort Worth and the fifth in Dallas-Fort Worth including Mansfield and Grapevine. There are also plans afoot to open a second Fort Worth location later this year.
Mister O1 offers a modern take on traditional Italian pizza. Their crust is made with an ultra-light dough that rests for a minimum of 72 hours and features fresh, high-quality ingredients that are imported from Italy or locally sourced.
Signature menu items include the Star Luca, a star-shaped pizza filled with ricotta cheese, spicy salami calabrese, mozzarella, Italian tomato sauce and basil; and the Coffee Paolo topped with Italian tomato sauce, mozzarella, gorgonzola, honey, coffee, and spicy salami calabrese.
That's in addition to traditional pizza variations along with calzone, salad, burrata, and dessert pizzas.
Founder and chef Renato Viola developed a passion for cooking at an early age in Southern Italy, and was already apprenticing with pizza chefs at age 11. He came to the U.S. under the O1 Visa, for individuals with extraordinary artistic ability, which inspired the restaurant's name.
Since then, Mister O1 has opened in Texas, Florida, and Georgia, and has received national recognition, including nods from the Michelin Guide, Food & Wine Magazine, and PMQ Pizza Magazine most popular independent pizzeria in the U.S.
The 2,800 square foot Fort Worth location, featuring an open-kitchen design and modern Italian aesthetic, is from local franchise partner John LaBarge.
“Fort Worth is growing rapidly, and we’re honored to be opening in a community with so much local pride and momentum,” LaBarge says in a release. “We’ve seen such a positive response across DFW since opening in 2022 and are excited to bring that same energy to our neighbors in Alliance. Our goal is to be more than a great pizza spot, we want to be a place people feel good coming back to, whether they’re grabbing a quick lunch or enjoying dinner with family.”
