The 2025 CultureMap Fort Worth Tastemaker Awards finally arrive this week.
The most delicious event of the year happens this week as the 2025 CultureMap Fort Worth Tastemaker Awards have finally arrived. Make plans to attend Wednesday for a smorgasbord of chef-prepared bites paired with stellar cocktails from the lineup of talented nominees. Also on the list this week: a doughnut and whiskey pairing and some standout wine tastings.
Wednesday, April 23
2025 CultureMap Fort Worth Tastemaker Awards
Our signature tasting event and awards ceremony will take place at The 4 Eleven (411 S. Main St.), bringing with it chef-driven bites and sips prepared by nominees for Restaurant of the Year, Chef of the Year, Bar of the Year, Rising Star Chef of the Year, Pastry Chef of the Year, Neighborhood Restaurant of the Year, Best Coffee Shop, and Best Barbecue Joint. See the menu here, with a lineup that includes snow crab tacos from Soy Cowboy, mini chicken tinga tostadas from Los Guapos, and lemon curd tarts from Bodega South Main to name a few. Tickets start at $75 for general admission at 7 pm or go VIP for $125 and get early entry at 6 pm along with a dedicated bar and valet parking.
El Coto & Barón de Ley Wine Dinner at Don Artemio Mexican Heritage
The upscale destination for Mexican cuisine will host a five-course pairing dinner featuring Spanish wines, including three tempranillos. Menu items include avocado tartare with butter-poached crab, cabrito cannelloni, and short rib with red wine reduction. Dinner is $145, plus tax and gratuity, and begins at 6:30 pm.

Egelhoff Wine Dinner at Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine
Renowned Napa Valley winemaker Bob Egelhoff will visit Bonnell’s Fine Texas Cuisine for one night to showcase his popular varietals. Limited reservations are available between 5–9 pm for the four-course pairing dinner, which will feature fig and prosciutto tartine, verlasso salmon, hanger steak persillade with black truffle risotto and bone marrow bordelaise, and strawberry and rhubarb cobbler. Dinner is $105, plus tax and gratuity, and includes paired wines.
CaveSociety Wine Tasting at Hotel Vin
Underground wine cave at this downtown Grapevine hotel will host a wine tasting tour through Oregon’s A to Z Wineworks, Erath Winery, and Rex Hill wines. The tasting is $45, plus tax and a small fee, and will run from 5–7 pm.
Saturday, April 26
FunkyTown Donuts Pairing Tour & Tasting at Acre Distilling Co.
Downtown distillery will welcome nearby neighbors FunkyTown Donuts for a sweet and spirited pairing. Enjoy four mini doughnuts paired with Acre spirits. Highlights include a lemon doughnut with gin-infused elderflower glaze paired with Two Minnies London Dry Gin, and a Cinnamon Girl Whiskey-infused apple fritter paired with Cinnamon Girl Whiskey. The tasting is $28 and is available Saturday and Sunday. Distillery tour included!
