The Nobleman Fort Worth hotel opens with notable in-house restaurant

A long anticipated Fort Worth hotel and restaurant have arrived: The Nobleman Fort Worth, Tapestry Collection by Hilton and the hotel’s in-house restaurant Duchess, have opened in the Near Southside and Magnolia Avenue-area, with fabulous accommodations and food from a celebrity chef.
Located at 503 Bryan Ave., the hotel and restaurant are anchored by the historic façade of the original No. 5 Fire Station — a landmark building from 1911 that was home to many Fort Worth firefighters, and the inspiration behind the hotel name.
The restored fire station serves as the heart of the hotel, housing check-in, communal areas, and the restaurant.
Developed by Jeff Blackman of Bedford Lodging, the property has 153 guest rooms and suites, which include 121 guest rooms and 32 extended-stay suites with kitchenettes. Hotel amenities include a pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, and 2,000 square feet of meeting and outdoor event spaces, along with terraces.
“The Nobleman Hotel and our Duchess restaurant will be stylish and approachable additions to the Near Southside neighborhood,” Blackman says in a statement. “We want to be a destination for the weekend traveler, for those visiting our renowned medical district, for business purposes, and to serve as a new, consistent dining spot for our local residents — we want to be the go-to neighborhood place.”
In addition to the Nobleman, Bedford Lodging has a number of hotels in Colorado as well as the Waters Hotel in Hot Springs.
Blackman enlisted consultant chef Casey Thompson, famous for her contestant stint on Top Chef, to concept Duchess’ breakfast and dinner menus and to source an executive chef to be named at a later date.
The menu is described as approachable New American cuisine with a Texas influence. Highlights include fried Texas burrata, chicken parm burgers, a brisket onion burgere, and ricotta gnudi. Entrees include red snapper with clams and butter beans; ricotta gnocchi with truffle butter; and fried eggplant schnitzel with a poblano chimichurri. There are steaks with an array of sauces, and brunch, with omelets, breakfast tacos, oatmeal pancakes, and Turkish eggs with wilted greens and feta yogurt.
The hotel has also partnered with Lucchese Bootmaker to feature branded leather coasters and a Lucchese boot display.
The Nobleman Hotel and the Duchess identities were created and brought to life by Ashlar Projects’ uber-tasteful co-owners Brooke Hollis Hortenstine and Missy Wyszynski including their logos, messaging, menus, visuals, and social media. Kansas-based Crossland Construction provided construction. Crestline Hotels and Resorts will manage the property. The Nobleman Fort Worth, Tapestry Collection by Hilton will be part of Hilton Honors, the award-winning guest loyalty program for Hilton’s brands.
