BBVA x AXS presents Victoria La Mala and Elsa y Elmar
BBVA will present a unique live music opportunity with Latin artists Victoria La Mala and Elsa y Elmar. La Mala’s bold blend of traditional banda and urban dance-pop have led her to break records and reach the top of the charts, while Elsa y Elmar, the music project of singer-songwriter Elsa Carvajal, is quickly becoming one of the genre’s most respected songwriting forces. The first 100 people to arrive at Sundance Square Plaza will receive a complimentary drink.
LoCash in concert
Country duo LoCash (aka Chris Lucas and Preston Brust) are a rising presence in the country music scene, having released two albums in their career, including 2016's The Fighters. Having worked with the likes of Thomas Rhett and Tyler Hubbard of Florida Georgia Line, it's only a matter of time before they hit the big time. They'll play at Texas Live in Arlington.

Sid Richardson Museum presents "Another Frontier: Frederic Remington's East" opening days
Discover a little-known side of a famous Western artist in “Another Frontier: Frederic Remington’s East." This collection features stunning landscape paintings of Remington’s homeland in the North Country, as well as letters, photos and diary entries. There will be free Steel City Pops from 11:30 am-1:30 pm, while supplies last. The exhibit will be on display through September 9, 2019.
Magnolia at the Modern: The Bookshop
In 1959 England, a free-spirited widow (Emily Mortimer) risks everything to open a bookshop in a conservative East Anglian coastal town. While bringing about a surprising cultural awakening through works by Ray Bradbury and Vladimir Nabokov, she earns the polite but ruthless opposition of a local grand dame (Patricia Clarkson) and the support and affection of a reclusive book-loving widower (Bill Nighy). The film will screen seven times through Sunday at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra presents Tchaikovsky Extravaganza
The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra season opens with an all-Tchaikovsky program. Audiences will experience the exhilarating Capriccio Italien and the emotionally turbulent Symphony No. 6: "Pathétique." They'll also bask in the virtuosity of James Ehnes’ performance of the devilishly difficult yet dazzling Violin Concerto. The concert, under the direction of Miguel Harth-Bedoya, will be put on three times through Sunday at Bass Performance Hall.
Theatre Arlington presents 9 to 5 the Musical
This hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic. Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy, and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy, giving their boss the boot. The musical will run at Theatre Arlington through October 7.

The Shops at Clearfork One-Year Anniversary Celebration
In just one year, the Shops at Clearfork has become one of the most popular shopping destinations in the area thanks to stores like Burberry, Elaine Turner, Neiman Marcus, and more. The center will celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday and Sunday with complimentary refreshments like mimosas, beer, and commemorative cookies. Also, many retailers will host in-store anniversary events and specials.
2018 AdvoCare Showdown: TCU vs. Ohio State
The 2018 TCU football season is off to a roaring start, as the No. 15 Horned Frogs have blown out each of their first two opponents, including rival SMU. But perhaps their toughest test of the season will come on Saturday at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, where they will take on Ohio State, which is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation. A win against the Buckeyes could put TCU on a path toward the College Football Playoff.

Sunday is the final day to take in the Amon Carter Museum of American Art's exhibit "Multitude, Solitude: The Photographs of Dave Heath." Heath’s powerful photographs of loss and hope conjure feelings of alienation and a desire for human connection. The exhibit features black and white pictures of the 1950s and 1960s, an intense period of self-discovery and innovation for the artist.
Convivio: Murals of Community & Inclusion
Convivio (coexist): Murals of Community and Inclusion is an outdoor social art initiative. Inspired by the vibrant heritage and colorful community surrounding this dwindling local business, Convivio has community representation and celebration at the core of its mission. The community will host an unveiling celebration with a special performance from local cultural producers Mariachi Espuelas de Plata, whose members grace the 110-foot wall.
