1. Fort Worth suffers sudden burst of restaurant closings all at once. It was a tough week for Fort Worth restaurants with a shocking number of closures in the works.

2. Christmas restaurant Campo Verde in Arlington to close after 40+ years. After more than 40 years of holiday magic, festive lights, and cherished community traditions, Campo Verde Mexican Bar & Grill will officially close its doors on Christmas Eve.

3. Salad and Go will close 7 locations in and around Fort Worth. The Salad and Go chain, known for quick and affordable salads, closed 18 locations across Dallas-Fort Worth, including seven in the Fort Worth area. In good news, 25 locations will remain open.

4. Festivals top the 9 best food and drink events in Fort Worth this week. Fall festival season has arrived, bringing with it Fort Worth's biggest Oktoberfest celebration. This weekend also brings a culinary cook-off with some adventurous "bite" by way of rattlesnake.

5. Historic Fort Worth estate on iconic Elizabeth Boulevard is for sale. One of the most historic estates in Fort Worth is going on the market. Known as the Dulaney House, it's located on Fort Worth's iconic Elizabeth Boulevard, a charming thoroughfare dating back to the city's earliest days and known for its well-preserved early 20th-century architecture.

4. Innovative Fort Worth BBQ restaurant Sabar Barbecue is closing. Sabar Barbecue, a food truck at 194 Bryan Ave., at the corner of Main and Vickery, is calling it quits after only two years, according to a post from owner Zain Shafi.
